Forgot to link to Warsi's piece.https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/apr/12/suella-braverman-diversity-cabinet-british-pakistani-men-rishi-sunak?CMP=Share_iOSApp_OtherTHIS is what politics needs. People clearly and unequivocally calling out those who try to set society alight.
Good on Sayeeda Warsi for stridently calling out Braverman's racist language for what it is. We need more politicians like this who don't hide behind bland statements but are prepared to say explicitly what they think on key issues. I see a number of "senior Tories" have been talking to the Press about Braverman being a disgrace, a racist, using dangerous language and working on the belief that she can get away with playing to the Tory base on this because, with her not being white, the Opposition can't go for her on race. All very good that they are seeing what she is doing. It would be much more impressive if they went public like Warsi, instead of talking off the record. It's be even more impressive if they...y'know...didn't vote for her racist policies.

Where was the openly vocal Warsi when the Rotherham, Rochdale and Telford incidents occurred? As a "straight-talking Yorkshire woman in her 50's" I don't recall her having much to say, if you could enlighten us?

Braverman "There is no good reason why we can't train up enough HGV drivers, butchers or fruit pickers."Er has she not seen the current UK unemployment figures???
Is Sunak less afraid of her as a minister as he would be more afraid of her as a backbencher?
Will it be the speeding or the undeclared links to Rwanda though?
