DRFC UPDATE:
Fans are welcome on the pitch. Especially any that can play in the full back or central midfield position. If you are over 6ft we'd also give you a shot up front!!

FURTHER UPDATE:
Fans are even more welcome in the dressing room. Especially if they can give some tactical pointers on how to create more chances and score more goals.

Another club statement, may more will agree with this one

https://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/2023/april/love-football-protect-the-game/

COYR

Clearly a copy and paste job. Is nobody at the club employed to proof read? This in particular should go down well: -

"As we reach the exciting culmination of another thrilling football season"
You couldn’t make it up could you.

I just fell off my chair reading that.  Is someone taking the p..s

I think there are a lot of players who won’t touch us with a barge pole at the moment.

Players and agents do their homework and players talk to each other.
I think Copps is delusional if he
silent majority
That has to be the quote of the year. Well the most bizarre one anyway.

I don't think it's so much a case of players who will want to come to us because of the way we play. It's more a case of players will want to come to us because of the way we WANT to play.

Players will want to come (or not) based on what we pay I’m afraid

Doesn’t anybody at the club and media department feel embarrassed by this statement.
No we don’t want supporters on the pitch but excitement in a season. We haven’t had that since the playoffs under MCCann.

There will be no one in the ground come full time, let alone on the pitch

It’s quite clearly an EFL statement that all clubs will have to comply with.

Good luck keeping fans off the pitch at orient, or Burnley or Plymouth.

At 1st glace I though surely we’re not releasing another statement but it takes one second to see it’s a EFL thing. Understandable as the season gets to the end.

I think the media haven’t helped it. When teams get promoted in the joy they seem to make light of the pitch invasion, which is understandable. But then it’s only a issue if disgruntled fans get on the pitch. They should report it the same no matter what situation.

That in itself kind of tells a story.

We’ve had the abuse statement from the club about certain supporters.
We’ve had the EFL/Rovers statement about going on the pitch which was not checked regards exciting season.
We’ve had a statement from TB about extra funds for this summer.
We’ve had a statement from Copps about adding players to our strong squad.
We’ve had DS making a statement about next season with positive recruitment and preseason then judge him then.
Yet we haven’t had any statement from any body at the club accepting how poor this season has been especially. Yet it was said by the Chairman we would Bounce Back Decisively he hasn’t justified that statement or the reason for failing. I would say we will have the poorest finish in league postion since we were relegated in 97/98 season.

Can’t wait for the next statement, surly there will be one coming, maybe a reminder that we can vote for a fans player of the year!!! Now that will be a hard one

I really hope that the club don’t do the end of last home match staff and players walk about.
It could be very embarrassing.

To me that will be classed as abusing fans, by taking the urine

I wonder, getting back to the original statement, what action the club intends taking against anyone hurling abuse. I fear for the young autistic lad in the West who is very vocal in both his "praise and grumble". Abuse flows freely and very loudly some aimed at DS when things aren't going well during the game equally he is vocally ecstastic when things go well.

Standards by the Club themselves may be brought into question too. Especially in recent times.

They have publicly stood by their players being bullied!! The treatment of Bogle and Williams was unacceptable for any other organization in the country and yet because it was football they were made to deal with it! Where were the protections of the employees then?

When Anderson abused fans nobody from the club deemed that behavior inappropriate. They actually condoned the behavior in many ways.

None of this is nice and I think with a bit of thought and tact that there was a much better way to handle this scenario of recent abuse in particular. Why have a faceless statement from a faceless board? Surely something from the shadow board (fellow Rovers fans) would have been a better way around things?

More thought needs to go into the clubs communication in my opinion.

I can't wait for the season to finish.

I feel like my words above stand more than ever after the post game comments from JC (Who I think is an outstanding asset)
