Dartford Bridge protesters jailed.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/apr/21/just-stop-oil-protesters-jailed-for-dartford-crossing-protest

3 and 2.7 years for causing "a public nuisance",

When you weigh up the amount of disruption to the country in trade, commerce and public aggravation they caused it could well amount in millions of pounds lost to the economy. The fact they have doubled down on their rhetoric and said they will continue from next Monday tells me the judgments were far to lenient and should be doubled for these agitators and their like.

Whilst the white collar and establishment crimes that cause so much death and misery get barely anything. But yep, don't upset the apple cart, even if ordinary people don't get the apples. Viva the Daily Mail

Whataboutery at its finest.

Shouldn’t you be worrying about your good pal and his little local issue with finding some good men of fighting age?

You claimed the judgements were too lenient. My point is many judgements can be considered too lenient - eg all those "top" people have assumed they'll get away with it since forever.

And then you talk about Ukraine? Get off the celing.

Well done dd. You've got me agreeing with BRR for once.
Let's jail the people who 'may"have cost the country ' 'millions ' and forget about pursuing the people who actually did cost the country BILLIONS  in the great PPE  debacle eh?

In an ideal world they would all be punished.

You do realise that ordinary working people lost one or two days at work because of these extremists. In my personal instance our business lost three contracted days which we could not forfil, this to us was a loss of over 40k. When you compound this by the amount of other businesses going about their everyday day work this would of lost a great many people serious money.

To start to talk about " pursuing the people who actually did cost the country BILLIONS  in the great PPE  debacle eh?" is this instance is just cretinous and nothing to do with this issue.

When you have to stoop to this level to try to give your argument legs you just know your looking at it completely wrong.
