I am having mine posted. Had to pay the postage fee. Email or ring the ticket office. Can’t see there being a problem

3600ish by my reckoning. Looks like it's been a slow trickle of sales since the early bird finished.

I was under the impression we’ve sold more than 4000? Could be wrong. Anything under this is shambolic. But then again doncastrians hate all their local sports teams. None of them get the support they deserve.

I don’t think that 3600ish or 4000ish is disappointing or shambolic, the fans have had 2 or more seasons of crap to put up with and have rightly voted with their money not to buy. But should we have a good season this season then I can see plenty coming back and buying in the future.

Agree with this.  You cannot do to your fanbase what has been done over the last 2/3 seasons and then expect no reaction.

What method did you use to come up with your estimate Pib? By my reckoning (complete guess) we've sold 10,000!

I wouldn't have bothered posting if it was just pure guesswork!

All you need is access to the following link and slightly too much time on your hands: https://tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk/en-GB/subscriptions/drfc%20season%20membership%2023-24?hallmap

It's fairly easy to calculate how many seats we have in the home areas and subtract the seats still available for sale. I could be missing something, hence saying "by my reckoning". Corporate hospitality maybe? Can't think of much else that would affect the number.

From what I understand there's still some totting up to do. Hospitality/boxes to be added, tickets taken up by schools etc, and of course sales between now and the start of the season, but it looks like numbers will exceed 4000.

I get the feeling there'll be a proportion of people still in the 'wait and see' category who are more likely to go for one off or multi tickets rather than full season tickets.

JRs influence only reaches so far and this is no different to when we were un the Championship and he was imploring more people to come and support the team. These folk are more influenced by winning football and position in the pyramid.

I think we'll see wider fluctuations in attendances this season as a result and more will pick and choose, so it's more dependant on results and opposition. We have some good early games where interest should be high. If we come through these early matches quite well then you'd hope people will stick with us.

Been memberships for some while now but I guess we get lazy and still refer to them as 'season tickets'. Of course, we no longer have tickets either, just your 'membership' card.

There are two occasions when we sell lots of 'memberships', one is just before the early bird window closes, and the other is the week leading up to the start of the season. In between the sales slow down, obviously.

Do you have an up to date figure of sold season tickets you can share with us SM?

When I got mine and my lads about 3-4 weeks ago, Tracy in the ticket office said we have sold more than last season and she said it’s over 4000

Membership of what exactly? If I joined a Gym Membership there would perhaps be a list of it amenities or benefits for my use of . But a season ticket has only a single use or benefit . What has  “Club Doncaster” do with it or is this something completely deferent. Or is this  what I’m now a member of and if so what are my benefits or allowed access  to  ?

Got to say I find all this jazzed-up language stuff a bit silly.  Why do we no longer have a ticket office but we have a Box Office?

It’s been called box office for some time as I recall.
It’s like most things, in that I still call the ground the Keepmoat & refer to my card as a season ticket.
Changing old habits is hard. The club is conscious of this & is happy for it to be called what the fans want.

I can't believe I haven't had a telephone call from the Ticket Office asking me why i haven't renewed , I could easily be persuaded to part with my money if they did.  :)

Thanks LR.  Then I guess the majority view of those fan representatives asked was in favour of changing the name to Box Office.

I stand to be corrected, but I believe it was in place before we were formed as the shadow board. Apologies if I’m wrong. I’ll seek clarification if you wish?

No need, LR.  There must be far more important things for you to do as a fan representative.  I was just indulging myself in one of my favourite pastimes of lamenting the days when we were less at the mercy of commercialism.
