He’s been class this season and finally got rid of the basic errors which were letting him down.

Prior to this season, he would have a lot of games where for 85 mins he would be a rolls Royce of a CB making everything look easy (especially against teams in higher leagues (Burton, Wigan Everton etc) but would also have a massive error in him, his pace got him out of a lot of trouble.

This season there’s only been 1 error I can remember and it was start of the 2nd half at a home game recently (think it was against Bromley) but apart from that he’s been a solid 7-8/10 every game.

What does he have to do to score 9, or Heaven forbid, 10?

Starting to feel resigned to losing him.
What a player, very good again on Saturday.
Colchester commentators raving about him.
He’s also appeared in a couple of Twitter accounts/journalists “team of the season”.

He is getting noticed.

We'll lose him for nothing undoubtedly.

I said he was too good for this level ages ago, when he was struggling and got roundly ridiculed. The fact that he plays centre half yet is our faster player by far is a bit of a giveaway. He’ll go on to better things unfortunately for us .

There's no point worrying about what we can't control. Many were getting anxious about Moly last January onwards but that worked out well. I'm sure the club will do their best with Joe too but it's not always in our hands is it. Who would blame him for keeping his options open until the summer.

Best thing we can do in the meantime is support the team, support Joe, sing his name, show the love and hope we achieve the promotion we all want together with his signature.

He has come on with experience, and has racked up quite a few games now, has now a settled position  he understands instead of like when he first came here being a fill in sometimes on the left sometimes central and on the right as well ,and having a must play out from the back by Schofield thrust on him in a team that was completely unsuited to the game he wanted to play.
All great experience even though we suffered at the time as supporters.
The club now has quite a few young players at that stage, looked after and given the opportunity they can develop like Olowu, and as a club we have been at this stage before a number of times and chucked the opportunity away, mainly changing the manager before the seeds they sowed came to fruition, or tempted with derogatory offers, those upping the pressure on our present management, and while in the top half of the table I don't understand why, need to look at a wider picture, how Olowu is developing, hope others with the same chance can also develop into decent players and ease off.
