Sorry, support means that you just ignore the loss and blindly shout how wonderful the team is when they play like that. You will have very few supporters within weeks.

Just this

What a club needs is supporters in the ground, regardless of their opinions.

not suggesting we ignore anything and dont believe im suggeting we are wonderful. Just suggesting we take a step back. Too much of society demanding instant success. Patience, loyalty, trust and support required. We have no divine right to anything. Some supporters will come and go. Some will always be here because the club means more to them than just winning! Its deeper than that. Doesnt mean im happy mind. But im never not turning up and being supportive. The club is part of who i am.

When we're good we're good, and when we're shit we're shit.

That's football.

Are you kidding me?

Still here, a season ticket holder now  that was initially ‘gifted’ to me & my brother 55 years ago.

Behave yourself. You’ve a long way to go before a game/result like today defines your season or your allegiance to the club.

That doesn’t mean ‘vocalising’ on this forum a ‘negative’ response to todays game means you’ve ‘thrown the towel in’ for the rest of the season, it means you’ve ‘earned the right’ to say your piece on how we’ve performed thus far albeit two games into the season.

I’ve no doubt Grant will be hurting as much as any of us tonight & he will give his assessment of todays game just as we are doing on this forum.

It hurt today for so many reasons & that’s why you have this fans forum, so you can vent your frustration, some more eloquently & positively than others.

Its unfortunate but that's today's throwaway society, for clubs at our level and with our support it's always going to be more difficult, if we loose 2k off the attendance its a disaster, if a big team does it's barely noticeable.

As a club we need to be more creative in our marketing and promotions, people have a great many distractions to knock the football on the head when its going badly, we need to stem it somehow, not an easy task.

As for the team, time is needed to get the best balance from the squad, this cant happen overnight, the management need our full support during this transition.

I’m sure our “fans” singing we’re f**king sh1t really spurred the players on

I agree, but are the team not appreciative of those same fans who provided all that encouragement at Hull?

Having spent time amongst travelling supporters there is usually a large number of very vocal ones whose support is powerful when things are going well who will remain loyal whilst there is hope of a result. If things turn really sour, as seemed the case yesterday with no apparent hope of salvage, having committed a whole day and the associated expense to be there, they will express their feelings. They rightly judged that the performance was well below the expectation that led them to be there.

I should imagine that their reaction and chanting will have been hurtful, but this is football and the team played badly. The manager agreed after all.

I would guess that most of them will be there on Tuesday, but especially those who have season tickets will be genuinely hoping for a win. After all, the start we’ve had is below most people’s expectations, but another poor performance will disappoint the vocal ones with understandable justification, even though the more patient of us will be more forgiving.

There's one massive thing that people are forgetting when they're talking about GM needing 2 or 3 windows, and accusing fans of showing impatience; and that's that the remit of promotion this season hasn't come from us, it's come from the club.

Right from the board to the management, it's been said umpteen times that the aim this season is promotion. Let's hope they're right, because a lot of floating fans have come back on the strength of it.
