Barnby, Filo, we have the talent in the team and the management team to be a lot better than we have shown up to press this season, but we need to find the spark, the cussedness, and the right mix of players.
Any mix of Wood, Anderson, and Faulkner  doing what they are good at basic defending should be good enough for this level we are at and Olowu would make a great sweeper or a defensive mid fielder a position the former I would try against modern sides.
I have the feeling it will come, I hope so anyway, we can't continue the way we are going.

Don’t get this negativity towards Molyneux he’s been outstanding up to the Wrexham game and then I think it was the formation

RD, it comes with losing regularly I am as guilty as anyone dwelling on the negatives out of frustration knowing most of them are better than they are showing, they and we need the monkey off our backs.

This shows how different people see things Molyneux outstanding?? Defence fragility. Midfield poor and is the major problem. We need a win and hopefully things will change.

My take on the new management team the club and the playing staff  this season is that results on the field of play do not in any way reflect the progress the club as a whole has made.
The team management is a good one and needs time to manage and sort out the playing staff they have inherited, some of which are going to be harder than normal to move on because they are hardly attractive to other clubs of our standing and will find it difficult to get a similar paying contract at another club. It is no reflection on the present management team something they have inherited and a problem they will have to live with and try and make the best of until contracts run out.
The bright lights are we have a nucleus of bright tallented young players who when the team get a playing structure right they can give us one of two things, a settled side that can take us higher in the league or bring in much needed transfer funds.
Youngsters like Flint, Brown, Faulkner, Adamson and others coming from the youth team show the academy is now bringing players through credit to the coaches.
The club are looking to be on a  decent financial footing with the backing of our main benefactors but something success on the field of play would help out substantially.
For things to come to fruition which I feel we are nearer to than things reflect we are going to have to be patient but at the same time as a club and with team recruitment be proactive and try and get in front of the curve which will require big management decisions  with the off field management and the team management working in tandem.
Everyone wants the same thing, a good team to watch, and a sustainable club that will be around for our youngsters to follow for a lifetime like my father and I have. We have hit another low in our history, not quite as bad as some in the past, but serious but not that serious that we cannot recover, to do so we need all factions of the club to pull together and go for the bright future, hopefully it starts at Forest Green this weekend and if not we go again the games after, and get off our knees and fight there is the chance of a much brighter future if we go for it.

Both the game at Forest Green and Everton in mid week have built in importance since the start of the season.
Our current league form and position in the division not being forecast when supporters enthusiasm was running high at the beginning of the season with the appointment of Grant and the influx of young players.
Tomorrows game of course is the most important as we seek to get our first league win, and Forest Green will be hell bent on getting their first home win of the season to pacify their own fans, and who would blame them if they see us as easy pickings at the moment, they are after all playing the bottom side in the division.
Despite better performances we have been unable to turn them into wins  in games, have weakness's in both penalty areas and a mid field of talented players but easy to play against something I am sure can be put right, and the other thing is we need a little turn of luck.
Tuesdays game will no doubt be between an u21s that could be strengthened by some good on the fringe premiership players if they want to, it being not a lot more than a training game for them, and our team could be even younger or at least on a par age wise, so no less interesting to compare standards and a chance for our lads to impress and give the manager a nudge for a start especially if things go tits up tomorrow which we do not want. but could happen again.
I just hope both games continue to show we are making progress and the managers ideas are beginning to bear fruit, two games, not long to see the results and a lot riding on both games as far as confidence and supporter backing are concerned, bring it on.

The time for talking is over for the players, it’s now time to start putting consistent performances together, starting at Forest Green. We need to win the game. The talent is in the squad, we have a good manager.

It’s time for players to take responsibility and not pass the buck. Forget the bad times over the last few year’s determination and hard work, are the only things that get you out of situations like this.

Work for each other, become a team nobody wants to play against. Know the strengths of your team mates and play to them. We need a win badly, get that and things will start to turn around for us.

I think the draw is a decent bet, we won’t be up against a big home crowd so hopefully it’ll be a bit of a leveller, might even get a few decisions. The optimist inside me fancies Rovers but can’t see us keeping a clean sheet and realistically scoring two or more looks a bit far fetched, hopefully they prove me wrong.

The season has to get going properly today with 3 points.

Hopefully Sutton and Tranmere both fail to win away then we’ll be above that dotted line.

This is the day, when things fall into place.

So 3 new injured players Maxwell Senior and Lawlor. Something is hugely wrong. Someone check Sandall Beat Woods for snipers. Pathetic the injuries we get

There is still a lot of quality there. Nixon coming back is good news. Assume this means Bailey remains in defence though, which is less good. Clearly the partnership of Anderson and Olowu is diabolical as has been proved on pretty much every occasion it has been attempted. Maybe today could be the outlier! Close on bench also to provide something different in midfield.

Very poor play in the final third , decision making is just shocking with passes not getting to anyone and loosing possession too easily. How we are not loosing this is down to just bad luck on Forest Greens play ! 1-1

We were lucky very lucky, but given how we’ve played for a few weeks we deserve that! Get in!
