Anybody that's thinking about it I recommend give it a go.  These last few weeks they have been playing some brilliant stuff.  So many near misses in recent years, it feels like this might finally be our time.

Club Doncaster have missed a trick. Could have sold combo tickets this weekend for Rovers and Dons.

£30 would have been a fair price for an adult  £20 Kids and Seniors.

Maybe the gate receipts have to be shared with their opponents and RFL get a cut making it a non starter.

I live in Suffolk and haven't been to a Dons game since the Tatters Field days. Does anyone know if there is any tv coverage?

Years since I've been to a Dons match, after barely missing a game at Tattersfield for many years in the days of Tony Banham and Dave Varey and Stuart Piper.

Got tickets for today's game and I've surprised myself how fired up I am for this one.

Come ON Dons!

If I still lived in Donny I would definitely be there.
Let’s hope that they can pull it off.

Knew Tommy Morton well in his time as secretary at the Yarbrough Soc. Club Bentley Rd. when I played there in various groups etc. He had a long suffering time with the Dons at Tatters Field. Used to see him outside his gate on Bentley Rd. quite often, or picked him up at the bus stop and dropped him off in town. Always nice to have a chat with him now and again. Haven't seen him in some while now. Hope he'd be happy with the situation the Dons are in, and wish them the best of luck for today. COYD's.

Sadly I'm pretty sure Tom Morton passed away a few moths ago :-(

Did you ever go to the Greyhound Stadium in the very early days?

Watched on YouTube. Very professional performance from the Dons but they will need to improve their discipline in the Championship.

Thought the Dons defence rarely looked like being broken. Back in a league with bigger teams next year, hope they can sustain the the attendances.

Bloody hell, FR, you're not doing BST any favours there. I reckon he'll only be in his 50s. The Dons were in the old York Road Greyhound Stadium before they moved to Tattersfield in the early 50s.

Even I was only a toddler at the time.

I think you'd be better off asking BB and Wolfie.

I went and really enjoyed the game. A few observations the ref has much more respect from the players than in football, the linesmen cover the whole length of the pitch not just their one half , both sets of fans sitting together no trouble whatsoever, although I am tea total myself fans sitting pitch side with a beer, on full time although a tremendous win not one fan ran on to the pitch, at final hooter both teams really congratulated their team mates and opposition with genuine handshakes and condolences, when subs were made the game was not stopped player walked/ ran off new player took their place , when someone was injured they were treated on the pitch whilst the game carried on football could learn a lot from rugby league

No , we were born in same year but I only remember them at Tattersfield against Rochdale Hornets , Whitehaven , Blackpool Borough plus the big boys of course

I remember plenty of Speedway at York Road but that's for another day

So we'll done Dons

Not the most fizzing performance, but it scarcely matters. They did the job. Let's hope they can survive next year and build from there
