Ryder Cup

What a brilliant performance today by the Europeans, was an absolute joy to watch that.

The Americans were simply outplayed. Some fantastic late drama in the afternoon matches as well. Still a long way to go, but we are firmly in the driving seat.

Perfect start in the morning matches. The Americans started to look like they were clawing it back in the afternoon but as you say, some late drama means USA haven’t won a match all day and has Europe in a great position going into day 2

That final putt by Rose on 18th, whilst not that long, took some real nerve to win the hole and get a half out of the match

Is it correct that this is the first time America has failed to win a match on Day 1?

It looks pretty much perfect in Rome at the moment. Would love to be there.

I didn’t know that, quite an achievement.

Europe going well again so far this morning. Europe are absolutely relentless at the moment with their shots but USA just haven’t turned up.

I saw that fact (about the USA not winning a match on day one) on the evening news after play concluded.
Quite astonishing really given the result of the last Ryder Cup.

I'm sure they're all sick to the back teeth.

Brilliant win from Europe! Fantastic to watch that over the last 3 days, some incredible skill shown from both sides.

What i'd like to know is how the EU manages to substitute itself for Europe, this competition has bugger all to do with the EU and was established before the EU was was a bad dream in some strange blokes head.
