Accrington Stanley

Potential trouble t’other side of Pennines - Stanley chairman announced he’s done with the club and he’s putting it up for sale.

Not sure how appealing a prospect for any potential buyer Accrington would be. A small club with little room for developing further.

The chairman and the manager have worked miracles to keep them afloat

They've had a bit of a fall out over the manager asking for a new contract through the press.

Still no ticket information? Has the date been confirmed? The game is only just over a week away!

Got to open the south stand, I understand not opening it for the EFL trophy but really don’t get why they don’t want to for the FA cup games.

It’s where all the atmosphere comes from and the FA cup is a good money spinning competition for clubs so surely they want to try build an atmosphere for the games.

I get the atmosphere aspect, I truly do.
On the other hand I can see with the cost of stewards etc why they close two of the four stands. It’s eye watering how much it costs to open a stand & provide the correct level of cover.

Why not open the north stand to home and away fans?
They won't bring many so easy to segregate them in the north east corner or something.

Or shut the north stand and give them a portion of the north end of the east stand.

I have just bought my seat, but note that Season Ticket holders seats are not reserved. This is going to create more unnecessary bad feeling...

I get the cost but imo the south stand should be open and shut one of the east or west for the atmosphere.

They tried doing it last year for the kings lynn games but ended up opening the south stand because of the backlash.

Great price of only £5 for us pensioners.
It’s going to make us even more unpopular in some quarters.

Unusual for Rovers to do that isn’t it.
I wonder why.

Yes noted by one of our group who's just turned 60 and is worried they'll now be waiting years for an OAP ticket at the end of the season.
