City v Spurs

Wait til you see this one.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Haaland fouled but gets up, ref waves play on/advantage.

Ball is played through to set Grealish up 1v1 and the ref changes his mind and pulls it back for a foul.

Unbelievable scenes!!

They’ve cheated their way to all their trophies so to be on the wrong side of a refereeing call is a rebalancing so small that there has not been a microscope produced yet that is able to view it. They are a club built on cheating.

Grealish unlikely to score. Davies would have fouled him outside the box at very least.

CBcb, a lot of people say Manchester City have cheated their way to titles because of the money they have spent. personally I cannot see that because they have only spent their own  owners money, money they have and own and to me are entitled to spend it how they want to.
However, the teams that are  bitching the most are the teams like Barcelona who have spent money they have not got, they are the teams in the wrong.

They are not entitled to spend it as they want. They can only spend money according to strict protocols. There are 115 charges pending against them relating to their financial practices and compliance with the Premier League FFP protocols. You cannot spend all the money you like in the Premier League, even though they have sought to do that.

I fail to see the attraction of PL football.
It’s the epitome of all that is bad with the game.

To me they can spend it how they want if teams like Manchester United can load themselves up with dept and still spend anything they want to.
They can fund all the money, other teams cannot, tough why should those teams hold them back?
At least they pay in full unlike teams that pay 30p in the pound and resurrect a couple of years later better off with no debt to start again.

Not really 1v1. He was near the halfway line

Possible thought, the ref plays advantage the lino communicates that he is going to flag Grealish offside so no advantage gained ref decides to go back and award the free kick for the foul

Last minute equaliser for Spurs, and then in the FA Cup match that I'd recorded, Eastleigh score a last minute winner against Reading.

Great day's viewing for me.

Good game. City fair play keeping it interesting before they go on a 15 game winning streak as always and win the league again.

Agreed, Chelsea and City buy the Prem with ill gotten gains, then Everton get docked 10 points for trying to compete in a rigged field.
As George Carlin said, “It’s a big club and you ain’t in it!”.
Having said that I’m having a game of monopoly tomorrow, is there any printers on here that can print me as much money as their machines will print?

Can't take your word for it, Padge. You told me I was wrong on here for predicting Arsenal would finish runners-up last season.

Don’t think so, he was well onside and given it was just inside the half the lino would have had a great view of it. They also don’t make calls as early as that. Terrible decision but I’m happy to see City drop points.

they've made sponsorship deals be more than they actually was, that's a clear breach and cheating

I have a real problem with this.  The referee to me had a really good game, can't remember much else going wrong.  But he got this decision wrong.  It's so tough in a fast paced game and the margin of error on it was still quite small (remember he's also running at pitch level with people inbetween).

The problem I have is the focus on his decision particularly from Man City.  They don't boo Haaland for missing a sitter do they?  Why are players allowed a mistake but not referees?  But the refs don't help theirselves, why can't they allow him to just come out and say "tough one I got it wrong" and why as fans can't we accept referees who make the odd mistake shouldn't be criticised when those who make loads do?  We wonder why nobody wants to referee these days, here's an example why.

And overall if Man City feel hard done by, they can have league 2 refs for a few weeks....

All the analysis ever boils down to is refereeing decisions / VAR. Boring. Can’t watch MOTD or talkSPORT much anymore because of that.

Shocking mistake by the ref. He unleashed on the unsuspecting world, the Haaland Vinegar Strokes Face.

Some of us will never recover from that trauma.

Exactly. If they are so wealthy, why do they still feel the need to cheat by making secret payments and  falsly overinflating their income?

What's also at stake here is the power and influence they try to gain. We're talking about sporting integrity here. There's no way a state should have been allowed to own clubs. The PIF have so many fingers in so many pies and we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

I saw this vid yesterday which a former Everton CEO alludes to where their influence could gain advantage. Why do Man City employ a team of 30 lawyers?

https://youtu.be/H7iyY9v6DF8?si=gm4Eo7cVDeN-lEcY

How far are we going to allow the Saudi 'influence' to spread?

can’t see it as they would of let play continue anyway then they can aswell pull it back for a free kick as no advantage would of come from it has he managed to stay clear of the defenders and score for then to be pulled back for offside, just think he got it wrong or didn’t think grealish was gonna get on end of it,personally don’t think he would of get anywhere near the 18 yard box

Yes, he did get it wrong but I can't see any other reason he would have blown having initially played on. (Unless he thought Grealish receiving the ball was no advantage. Ha ha!)

not the quickest like, maybe was because he cautioned him but the he could of done that anyway after play had stopped

Come to think of it, that's the second time in a few weeks that Spurs have been on the right side of major cock-ups by officials.
