With his unexplored potential, I would imagine Mo will want to hang on to his WBA career as long as possible. No idea how long he'll have left on his contract, but I guess he'll hope to extend on improved terns and what better way of doing that, than continue to score goals for us and ideally achieve something.

I think there’s a fair chance he moves loan in January. I never think it’s a good thing for the player. Too often they are flying, move up a level, then waste the second half of the season. From the clubs perspective they will want to test him in L1 to see how good he actually is. Could save them a few quid in giving him a new contract when really he’s not good enough for them.

Losing Mo would be significant- the lack of midfield creativity is currently being masked by the fact that he and Joe are doing most of the creating as well as scoring.

With the players we currently have we really need that midfield enforcer to hold the middle of the park and allow Close and Westbrooke to play further forward and not have to do the donkey work, their style of play is based on them pushing forward not sitting back. if we had that combative and commanding holding player im sure the percentage of chances created should multiply.

Pretty sure the loan rules have changed since we've gone to half season or season long loans.

Having a season long loan agreement means something. Had WBA wanted to see how he went for the first half season with a view to trying him at a higher level, they could simply have just restricted the loan to a half season.

Of course, we can't be sure of the finer detail but I very much doubt WBA will break the agreement just to send him out on another loan. Similarly, the idea is to give all parties time to develop the player by them settling into the fabric of the club etc, and not be subject to being gazumped by another club half way through.

As said before though, yes there is a review mid term, where if it's not working out for whatever reason, then both clubs can agree to terminate early (Roberts and Marsh could fall into this category)

In the Whiteman days, you could loan players on shorter terms, and with him, we reached a point where the Blades pretty much said they wouldn't extend his loan so if you want to keep him then make us an offer.

These things are not done just by gentleman's agreements between clubs, the right paperwork has to be lodged with the EFL to transfer the registration between clubs for the agreed period.

What if another club wanted to buy Mo from WBA in January? Well that's another ball game and very much depends on how WBA value him and his development. I would guess they would see more potential value in him continuing with his loan with us. If they were to consider selling him then Mo would have to be informed and he/his agent would have to consider it but, they would have to terminate the loan first.

Plus, through chats with GB in the past, we often work in a first option clause in the loan so if, during or at the end of the loan, if the parent club are willing to sell (depending on valuation of course) we get first dibs. (And of course if the player is willing too)

He’s 20 year old scoring for fun in league 2 and has everything u want in a centre forward. West Brom will know this and will know he has the potential to play at their level if not higher.
