Next 2 months.

It won’t be lost on anyone how important the next few months are going to be for DRFC. Least of all how key the window will be.
I’ve looked at the fixture list. Every game is hard now. Every point crucial. I didn’t think I would be saying this this season but I think rovers are in a relegation scrap now. There may look to be a slight points buffer, but those propping up the league have shown today they aren’t giving up without a fight. Sutton winning at Wimbledon was a coupon buster and had it not been for the red card, the FGR result may have looked a little less appealing to the rovers faithful.
And so here is my honest prediction of the points that rovers will achieve in the months of Jan and feb. Barring us signing a few world class defenders in Jan and two solid, fast , skilful, playmaking  central midfielders.

Mk. 0
Harrogate 1
Newport 1
Bradford 0
Stockport 0
Sutton 3
Tranmere 1
Salford 3
Grimsby 1
Wimbledon. 0

So that’s another 10 points between now and end of feb. 2 wins 4 draws.
And I think I’m being optimistic. 34 points. And desperate for more to survive before season end. Let’s have your predictions.

I will be optimistic and say 12 points from those 10 games

It’s not enough though if FGR and Sutton Utd start to pick up.
We could be in in a serious battle to stay up by the beginning of March if we don’t get a min of 10 points
Ideally we need 14/15

I think it will be between us and Colchester who go down with Sutton. I think FGR will recruit well in January, they have the money to do so, and get out of the bottom two.

Salford are really struggling. But like FGR can splash the cash. We have to hope they are after different things to us.

Thought I’d revisit my predictions . The MK result is looking like a freak one after Harrogate and today. Even so, a point more than I expected at this stage in this run .
