Sounds like he was happy before his agent's got in his ear, then he's handled the rest badly, he's only a young lad let's not forget.
Disappointing but hey ho, we move on.

Loan ended.
Obviously felt unappreciated when he sees McCann bringing in new forwards . McCann clearly has not got ALL the players on his side !!

Well that’s a shocking attitude to have if that’s the case.
But I very much doubt it

Sounds like his agent has been in his ear. Perhaps wants to play more central? Suspect he’s probably been told he can get a move that will enhance his stock for either a move/better contract. Walsall I’ve heard would secure him a move closer to home.

Taking a step back he is a young lad. Did quite well for us on the whole and always worked hard while on the pitch. Wish him all the best and hope it works out for him

Unappreciated???

Does he not expect to play in a team that have back up forwards? Apart from goodman whose not ready we had nobody else. Dont try and find a reason to make grant as the bad pwrson in this. Clearly Mo doesnt have the spine for a fight

Wouldn't surprise me - and they just happen to be the only team we have to play twice in the rest of the season  :headbang:

Might he have thought he'd get less game time with the new recruitments?

Dissapointed to hear this, as i liked him, but lets not forget Grant did similar himself in his first spell at the club. Unfortunately its football. Its a blow but hes not irreplaceable. He looked very leggy last few games, and im not sure he would fit in McCanns preferred system.

Hopefully Waters will be more than an adequate replacement, and i liked what i saw from him today.

I like Faal and think he has the potential to have a good career. However, he's not yet ready for the Championship and it sounds like WBA were in agreement with this. I imagine he'll end up at a different L2 club which seems like an unnecessary risk by moving clubs mid-season.

He was a part of us being 19th in the fourth tier.
But I’m sure a greasy agent will put a spin on it.

Good luck to him and thank god after McGrath’s performance today we won’t see the silly and cringeworthy end of game celebrations with Olowu  again after a rare win.
Hopefully Olowu is next out, with a couple more.
Felt for the team today they deserved a bit more.

Seems the lad's as unpredictable off the field as much as he is on it.

If he doesn't want to be here best that he leaves.

Decent up front but hopeless recently out on the left. First touch like and elephant - will never make it at West Brom unless he works hard on improving it.

There are only 4 worse moves he could make in the football league. If he thinks he can go and play his way into any of the 87 clubs above us then good luck to him. Why should we expect him to play in this shower of sh!t team because he is playing games?

In fairness he's as culpable as his team mates.  He's cost us quite a few goals at times (Mansfield).

Name the rest?

I forget which one but there was a home game where he left the man run right past him and they went up to score. McCann subbed him off a minute or so later.  He's a lot to learn defensively.

Whether he's been headstrong or not, it's not a good look for McCann or the club.

I said tongue in cheek after either the Mansfield, or Bradford game, his body language was like "get me out of here" but you would have hoped WBA would have said he's got to take the rough with the smooth and get on with it. It sounds a bit iffy if he or his agent are dictating things above his parent club. Then again, WBA have a duty of care to look after their player.

I'm not normally one to speculate wildly but you also wonder if he knows Olowu is on his way out, he's decided he doesn't want to be part of it anymore.

Either way, it's extremely disappointing as he's got bags of potential.

For a young loan player he did well, but didn't look too good for our level or anything like that.

Didn't strike me as a McCann type player either really. It's hard to press high up the pitch when you've got someone like him who just jogs about.

I’m not sure how much potential he has. League one / Scottish premiership?

But Waters’ first touch is twice as good and he’s never played above league 2 level.

I genuinely think Faal will end up as a box to box type midfielder. His attributes are better suited to that. Like what happened to Joelinton at Newcastle.

From what I've seen of him (admittedly not at lot) not a huge miss.

So everyone’s slagging Faal off for being disloyal because of what McCann’s said post match, the facts are he’s got a better offer, maybe he’s not handled it greatly but surely McCann if anyone should understand this predicament.

I honestly can't blame him for wanting to leave.
Yes, perhaps he could have done it better.
But a football career is very short, and this stage of his career is crucial as to what kind of career he'll have.
He camt waste it at our outfit.

You absolute tosser IR. He let me know so I just put it on here for the ones that maybe don’t have twitter/x like me.
Why can’t people just be thankful or not say anything rather than be condescending.

Careful Thorney you might get criticised for comments like that just as I did

What the fack?

Any reason to be so offensive?
Have I said I think you're an absolute cnut?
What a surprise you've had a like from one of a similar vein.

Don't be so offensive you idiot.

Do I blame him for wanting a fresh challenge? No, which footballer would want to be in a 20th position league 2 team with terrible form, not many.

By the sounds of things, he hasn’t handled it well on his end, football business I guess can be fickle, who knows what bridges he’s burnt, imagine this will go against any character checks on him in the future.

With mo, he was frustrating, not a brilliant first touch, but has raw ability. Best of luck to him. We move on as we do with all loans.

I remember when we used to claim we were one of the most desirable clubs in the country to send young players on loan to. We backed it up as well, it was evidenced by the quality of players we could bring in under McCann and Moore.

Now we're getting big timed by half decent players who don't want to be here. It's another sign of how much we've slipped in recent years.

I thought some of his play was quite embarrassing to be frank.
For every time he shielded the ball and played it wide to a team mate, there were four times where he stumbled over the ball and lost possession.

No loss.

Was never a big fan personally. Did an OK job at best while he was here.

I expected him to stay for the season. He hasn't, so what. We will bring someone else in and carry on.

No animosity towards him from me.

Young lad, may have been poorly advised who knows? But so what? All the best to him.

I won't be booing him if he comes back in another colour......unless he does and Adebayour style celebration when he undoubtedly scores against us!!!

We missed him dropping back into midfield today, in lots of games he has been our most creative player, today that was completely missing.

Another aspect that struck me was the way Grant took it . When you get a string of disappointing results and a loanee turns his back on you in such a way it takes a strength of character to react like our manager does .

In a choice between Faal or Waters, I’d pick Waters every time. Didn’t rate Faal, we’ve replaced him with better already.

Waters for me was a replacement for Marsh, Carty replacement for Roberts. So unfortunately Faal as decided his future lies elsewhere therefore will we bring in another player.

If his agent is directing him on another loan option, then it does sound like he doesn't have a future at WBA. If they saw him as a long term prospect, they are going to be picking and choosing loans for development, based on style of play, where Faal would be playing, game time etc. Having your agent involved in a loan move suggests there is a permanent contract linked to the next move, even if on loan first.
