I hope the lad's contract is pretty long and if it isn't i'd hunt a pen down sharpish.

Best prospect for years; scouts will be circling.

His contract needs extending he’s been the best or consistent player of the season what ever position he plays.

If we play this right he will be sold for a few million quid in the future.

Great to see he's tied up for a while. Future Captain (been said b4 on here)

Took his header well and was pleased to see McGrath get one in from a Corner or Free kick

Bodes well.

The last player I can remember who was as versatile & as good as Owen was Steve Lister. Great that we have him tied down for a while, going to be a real asset.

He’s obviously shite because we got him from a lower league :)

I don’t remember Lister being able to carry the ball as well as Bailey does, but I seem to remember Liverpool were after Lister at one point.

We were told he was going to solve our defensive midfielder problem by sitting in front of the back four.

McCann just let him of the leash last night and it turns out he's a one man wrecking ball.

I just meant in respect of his versatility Colin. To be honest he used ride a few challenges did Lister, bit of a Rolls Royce of a player.

He’s very much still developing (as you’d expect) but he’s brilliant isn’t he. Technically sound and a great attitude. As others have said he has to be considered for the captaincy. Our recruitment is much maligned and with good reason at times, but this is certainly one we appear to have got right. Player of the season for me.

Wouldn’t argue with that Jono.

The change McCann made after 20 mins to push Bailey higher up and Close as the lone 6 worked wonders and from that point we dominated.
