I’ve heard he’s injured again, same ankle as before. Did it in training.

If this is the case then this ankle is becoming a problem let’s hope it’s only a rumour.

Early doors but his reaction there seems to be more spontaneous than we're used to. Some of our players would have still been thinking about it when Adelakun's effort hit the back of the net.

I wonder how many knocks he's gonna get playing with his socks down and no pads?

I wonder how many knocks he's gonna get playing with his socks down and no pads?

Players have to wear shin pads. Players like Grealish & our own (not for much longer!) Jon Taylor cut the foot piece of their sock off & wear a professional athletes sock which comes up to the knee.
They then place the pad inside this sock & roll it down to the top of the pad. They then use a tape to wrap around the bottom of the sock to prevent the pad slipping down.
Then they cover this sock with the ‘teams sock’ & roll the the top of the sock below the knee, (are you still there BB?).
Then, taking the top of that now ‘outer sock’, they pull it up above the pad & tuck the top inside the pad to secure the pad in place.

On the ‘flip side’ you have Michael McKindoe wearing his socks pulled right up over his knees, like a stocking. I don’t think he was ‘kinky’ or anything. Perhaps he just had skinny knees for a footballer?

He took that goal well.

An intelligent run from wide, two defenders coming towards him and the 'keeper to beat from a tight angle.

That's known as an 'unex-g' amongst those of us who are experts in these matters.

 ;)
