I wonder if they will enlist the thousands of fighting age men that are coming into our country illegally.
If they want to be in our country so badly, then they can fight for it too.

These 20 something fit and healthy men have been through enough. They're from war torn backgrounds, fighting for their lives (but apparently a boat providing shelter, warmth and food is bad for their mental health  )

How dare you. Don't you think of their poor feelings. They've already come from war torn countries, struggled with their life through first world Europe, been forced onto boats into the UK from first World France, and now live in hotels and barges with heat warmth and food

Very few people of military age would want to fight for this country, the country hasn't given these young people anything to want to fight or die for.

Your comment mate, our young men and women will gladly fight and serve our Nation, just like the Israelis are doing, take them as an example, there was a distinct lack of enthusiasm prior to the 7th Octt now they queue up to serve. Tacitus admired the Britons for their fighting skills the Romans lost more men in the 50 odd years it took to Conquer  Britain than in any other Campaign.

Come on my friend you have to have seen my tongue in cheek on the first comment about identifiying as a different age. Mocking the liberals is like shooting fish. If I can change my sex willy nilly (pun intended) then I'll change my age too. Actually I'll identify as Russian for a year.

I'm totally taking the pi*s. What would the same government that allows people to decide their sex do if I turned around and said I'm female and not fighting age?

Are you holding to the pure Celtic line of genealogy as being the condition of being called up? Or is it only those with full body tatts and can fight naked?

Anyway, back on topic.
National Service.
I think I’m right in saying that young kids who get a second conviction for unlawfully carrying a knife can get a prison sentence.
Instead of sending them to prison, put them in the army.
Let’s shake them up and see how tough they really are.
Burglars are a blight on society so perhaps they could be sent to serve the country instead of doing time.
It might just help to put them on the straight and narrow, they might see the errors of their previous ways too.
