Time to cut the sh!t
« on January 27, 2024, 05:30:57 pm by StocksArmy »
Can't keep deflecting the blame away from the manager for these performances. If Maxwell is fit enough to train at full throttle you have to chance his fitness or at least start him in the hope we get a foothold in the game. Last week of the transfer window and we have done nothing other than bring Mcgrath in who is better than what we have but other than that we stick with the same personell, sign a load of strikers and still look clueless. When are we going to stop pretending this guy is our saviour? Schofield would not have got away with this season had he had the investment McCann has had. Thats a fact. Still also believe the extra funds are nowhere near meeting the required amount that is needed to compete in this league never mind push for promotion. What a complete mess this club has allowed itself to get into.

Until McCann excepts it’s not goi go to happen we will all suffer . A phone call to Warnock and ask him to take over win loose or draw id sooner go out fighting than watch this pathetic , clueless and fraudulent team play another game .

We literally go around in circles.

How many managers have now failed to achieve at the club on the bounce?

How many managers have openly spoken out about lack of funds?

Look where we’re signing players from…. Is it not plainly obvious to you lot.

ITS LACK OF FUNDS.

These players are better than the performances we are getting. Lack of funds is a valid point, but do we have smaller budgets than many of those above us? Clearly not.

So why are they all getting more out of their funds than us?

Pep Guardiola couldn't get a game out of these lads.

Main issue is lack of investment and bad recruitment.

McCann has a role to play in that recruitment issue, but it's mainly at  Coppinger's door I'm afraid.

If McCann is on a rolling contract, he'll walk at end of season anyhow I'd imagine.

Are we still on target for the Championship like Mr Bramall says?

How instrumental is Copps any more in our recruitment? I thought McCann had total control now. I may be wrong.

We aren’t going to get a better manager than McCann. It’s been another really disappointing season, but hopefully everyone holds firm. Rash decisions and emotional reactions won’t get us out of this mess. In time I trust McCann to get us improving. Today is a reminder of how much work there is to do.

Clearly recruitment remains a big issue.

To be fair Jonathan, if McCann is a good manager shouldn't we be getting better results with this squad? On paper they aren't that bad to be 22nd.

We just seem to be piling up a huge squad with no real plan.

How the hell have we ended up with 35 players (18ish of which have been signed in the last in the last 6-7 months) and we’re still this f**king shite?! It’s like a living nightmare with no end in sight.

He's the one going out and trying to get them to sign. McCann gives him a list of who he wants. I'd imagine most of players McCann wants, they can't get though. So we end up dealing in scraps. A more influential and experienced Head of Recruitment would give us one less headache. Club should of shown more pragmatism and less sentimentality with that role. Copps should be in an ambassador role and nothing more in my opinion.

Time to sack mcCann. Sick of reading about how good he thinks we are.
Results don't lie.
League position doesn't lie.
Team performance we witness doesn't lie.
He lies!

Losing to Stockport County by that score, i can’t believe it’s come to this. We used to be like Stockport, up and coming club, hard working. We need the ethic of the whole club to change its a mess to put it politely.

It’s rolled on hasn’t it. We signed a load of players with a poor budget. They’re still under contract

To counteract it we’ve signed a load more players using a more stretched poor budget as a last resort.

Even mid-table teams are pulling away from us. So we are in the bottom group watching our backs. Staying up is the best we can hope for.

Get rid of Mcann and it’s down down down . There has been progress I believe. It’s just not translated to results yet. No one in their right mind expected a win today . Any defeat is hard . ESP when 5 are hit past you. At home . Need more time . Perspective .

We are in a mini league of six or seven clubs, the worst two to go to the NL.
It has been coming to this for three years.

Copps should be feeding the ball to the forwards not in defence. And why have so many forwards on the bench at the start, and midfielders at the front? I am really baffled by McCann's team selection and start to wonder if he really has a grip on it all anymore. Even the players don't do what he wants. He had a week to prepare for this game.

Year 6. Although I think most clubs tend to do 5 year plans yearly.

Can’t blame the board. TB has backed GM in this window.
Rowe absolutely garbage. Out of position all the time for there goals.
Hurst needs to go out on loan for experience and confidence.
He should have played Wood today to combat there hoof ball to the forwards.
Looks like the players aren’t playing for GM. Me and my lad were happy when he came back. We have no confidence in him now. Results do matter. But by god performances do as well. To many games where there is no commitment. That comes from the manager and his team. Something is not right between the players and manager

Look at the facts.

We played Olowu and McGrath at centre back.

We conceded four goals from routine crosses into the six yard box in the first 45 and a half minutes.

Selection was shocking.

Perspective NR.!!! Think a lot of us have had enough time and given enough time and money. I travel 3 hours round journey just for home games. I give my all. I never boo irrelevant how bad we are.
Asking the players and management to show commitment isn’t a lot to ask
I think the players are not playing for GM. He has had plenty of time. If he stays he needs to show he wants to stay and improve results
