I’m glad you brought this up. What an absolute helmet he is.Rich man is surprised a strong currency can buy you lots of stuff in a poor country. Wow.The American right seem to prefer Putin and Russia because they are obsessed with anything “anti-woke” to the point they would support their enemy. The global world order would fall but at least there’d be no big pharma or drag queens. For the fringe right and left, the west is an evil imperial force that cannot be trusted. But they’ll trust a dictator who sends his political and journalistic opponents to jail instead.I thought this was a good piece by David Cameron:https://thehill.com/opinion/international/4465907-david-cameron-pass-ukraine-funding-for-the-sake-of-global-security/There were Americans in the 1940s who didn’t want to get involved in WW2 let’s not forget.

The leading opposition politician in Russia has just suddenly died in prison, regardless of what his views were. How many other dimensions to that are there?

Or just read my post - looks like you latched onto one phrase and managed to ignore the rest - one dimensional you could say.
Russian police arresting people for laying flowers at memorials for political prisoners.I wonder if the response to this will be “but Biden is bad as well”.
Comparing Gonzalo Lira with Alexe Navalny in any way, shape or form shows you have absolutely no idea or conception of what is happening in world affairs, absolutely none. You have taken up more space on this platform spouting anti west shite (I won’t credit you with the mental capacity to call you a propagandist), to the extent that you would have us ‘believe’ (no one has bought or is buying your crap in case you haven’t noticed) that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is (& although you’ve not dared go as far as to use the word but have ‘danced’ around it for page after page after f***ing page) legitimate.Legitimate.Because Russia invaded Crimea to free its ‘Russian population’ from fascists….bollox.Legitimate.Because ‘the west’ has sought to ‘encroach’ upon Russian borders & has always ‘used’ Ukraine to antagonise the Russian’s into believing NATO would eventually embrace Ukraine into the Organisation so leaving Russia with little option but to ‘defend’ its borders by invading…..bollox.Legitimate.Because Ukraine has & is carrying out as many atrocities on civilians during Russia’s ‘Special Military Operation’ as Russia has been accused of…….bollox.Now & again after realising even your rhetoric has gone beyond the realms of sanity you’ll ’pop in’ the odd sentence “I’m not saying that I agree with what Russia has done…”.Not agreeing with what Russia has done? WHAT RUSSIA HAS DONE!?Where the f**k do we start?!Ever thought where all ‘this’ will end? Really thought?Have you bollox you narrow minded hypocritical tw*t.That’s me done except to say, I hope one day you will wash your hands of democracy, pack your bags & take your misguided ‘views’ (I suddenly feel prone to being ‘gentler’. A bit like seeing a rabid dog being put down & thinking ‘who knows how it became infected?’.) to a place where your views will see you receive an ‘Order of Merit’ & you can walk the streets with ‘like minded individuals’ except of course that’s exactly what you’ll be. Just an individual with no recourse to express your ‘views’ as you do now in this ‘corrupt western society’, unless of course you wish the same fate as suffered by Alexe Navalny.

Obviously.Ukraine is no different than Russia that way.And Assange?
So you have an agenda with Russia. Just that is one dimensional.
The reason I choose to highlight others who've died is mainly because I don't buy into the obvious political posturing around this - note the BBC swamping of this story. The posturing that is targeting Russia as the bad guys whilst ignoring, or lowering the sights on, the other bad guys. I have no love of Russian politics, its the same greedy abusive elites, gangsterism, over ordinary people that occurs in most places. Ukraine is the in your face other place, hence I mentioned Lira as an obvious example. And then Lira was just blogging on issues. I don't think he has an aggressive inciteful racist attitude to any people, calling for their extermination. However, in what he does he challenges the Western perspectives on a war the UK is promoting. Navalny is against someone the UK is at war with. And then geopolitics - the US thinks it can gain influence and reduce Russian influence if Navalny were to be rousing anti Putin feelings. Why don't you don't care about others?

They are like religious fundamentalists. They've been infused with this certainty that there's a simple, underpinning truth that explains everything if only people would embrace it.Religious fundamentalists believe whatever happens, it's all God's will, and you simply cannot reason with that or shake that belief.Far left/right tankies believe that the greatest evil in the world is Western capitalism, and they will not be shaken from that belief by anything. So anyone who is against the West must not be criticised. If they do something manifestly evil, you say "Yeah, but, the West has done X, Y and Z, so you mustn't judge".And just as religious zealots believe they've seen the truth and everyone else has their vision obscured, so the far left/right tankies think that they have this clarity of sight, whole everyone else is indoctrinated by The Elite and their media. It's is absolutely pointless trying to change their minds. You just need to point out how f**king stupid their reasoning is, and maybe stop them infecting other people.
I just told you some. Seems you're angry, and rude. I'll leave you to it.

No, you told me completely unrelated stuff that in i way can be 'another dimension' to the circumstances of Navalny's death.Of course you'll leave me to it, because you know you're looking a fool and are trying to extricate yourself from your own words by playing the indignant card.
Navalny stood for a free democratic Russia and like alot of the despot Putin's opponents he was assassinated for his views. You only have to look at Putin's key allies - North Korea and Iran - shining beacons of free democratic society - to gain a true picture of Russia's current position in the world.
