Team goal

That first goal from Moly was as good a team effort as I've seen this season. Top goal

Just re-watched it as it’s been posted on Twitter. Back to front in a blink of an eye and then what a finish. Shaping up

Excellent goal. The type of goal we used to score when we were good.

Reminded me of that Billy Sharp goal against Leeds. 12 years ago this weekend.

Only with a third of the passing. By he’ll, we were good back then.

Great goal. The sort of play we’ve been lacking far too often this season. One and two touch instinctive play, moving the ball quickly and players making dynamic movements off the ball. Plus those making support runs absolutely busting a gut to get forward. Watch the clip and look at Owen Bailey after he plays the ball. I suspect if Moly’s shot had been saved or hit the woodwork Bailey would’ve got himself into a position to pick up the pieces.

That’s what I associate with this club, and particularly a McCann team when it’s at its best. More of the same please.

I accept it was Grimsby but, we played with our heads up, we had runners, we won individual battles both ends of the pitch, good movement, pace, tenacity & a real team ethic.

We did to Grimsby what Stockport dished out to us.

This is now a team that will win more games than it loses in the sixteen league games we have left.

There will be changes of personnel come the summer but, all now bodes well I feel.

Fantastic goal, one touch precise moving forward with real pace, that’s what frightens defences and what a first touch from Molly and bang!
Thought I was watching Real Madrid….

If we had 16 left Colin.
We only have 14 left now.

I'm boarding up the windows and putting a hard hat on before saying this, but that was the sort of goal we used to score regularly under Moore. Sharp, incisive forward passing and movement, cutting through the opposition midfield. We've seen next to nothing like that for 3 years.

I think I can see what McCann is looking to build. We've been som vulnerable to an aggressive press for the last 2 seasons in this division. He's trying to counter that by getting us to pass quickly through the press and allow opponents to pull themselves out of position by flying into the press, but finding that the ball has already gone past them.

If it works, and it does need confident, quality players, it will be a delight to watch, albeit that it will sometimes fail and leave us looking stupid.

I sat and watched that goal and "saw" it without "seeing" it

Have to open my eyes , what a fantastic move , what a way to start a game , what a finish by Molly and what a great Team goal as the Title of this Thread says
