My uncle John who followed rovers home and away for most of his life passed away peacefully last Monday, from stainforth he moved to Ireland a few years ago but still kept a keen eye on the rovers. He was on the main stand at Belle Vue in my childhood years but followed all over, so I thought I’d leave a notice just to let anybody know that might have known him.

RIP John, I don’t recognise the name but I no doubt will have known him by sight.

R.I.P. John. I’m sure that when fans pass, especially long serving fans they would be recognised by many more on here that only knew them by sight if a photo was included.
There were so few fans in the dark days that you almost knew who you were going to see, home and away.

Always sad to hear of a fellow Rover's demise.
RIP, John.
I've mentioned this before but perhaps we should have a permanent memorial thread (with picture when available) as a sticky to remember our lost ones?

I don’t have the skill set to attach a photo but here is a link to a rovers tweet from years ago with a picture of him attached, thank you all for your well wishes.
