Lucky 31 down for tomorrow - all pure hunches/hopes and no inside info.... although Cheltenham is almost always a lottery anyway....... and the only winners tend to be the bookies .  Good luck if you are playing - bet responsibly....

I've got odds against Princess Kate handing over a winners trophy at 100000/1.

Ticket sales are well down this year. People are fed up of the Irish trained horses, who the average English punter knows little about, coming over and winning nearly all of the races.
Especially with Willie Mullins or Gordon Elliot having multiple runners in each race.
Plus there are many long odds on shots from those, or other Irish stables throughout the week.
All those things make it a poorer, less attractive meeting than it used to be.

it was more the "long" and "odds on" I didn't get - surely it's one or the other?

Odds on 4/5
Long odds on 1/3

*for example in case you want to come back and argue.

Odds on could be 10/11
Long odds on could be 2/15

OK, I understand what your saying now - however, I have to admit that I've never heard the term 'long odds on' before......
