Totally agree. Was actually clear and could hear what was being said. He interacted with the mascots well and introduced teams etc clearly.

I was a guest in the hospitality area last season and the usual announcer took us on a pre match guided tour, he was pleasant, organised and very knowledgable, he did a very good job.

The usual announcer is on holiday this week, the bloke last night was really good, even announcing the starting 11 getting the crowd going, first time in ages I've heard each player being cheered as they were being announced.

Think the PA system is still "pants" and I like regular guy and his stand in was good too

Perhaps he shouted rather than talked ( as the noise in Stadium was loud ) and that made a difference

Somebody posted on lucky pint that he was the former kit man. I would be happy if he was on every week.
