stadium music
« on April 05, 2024, 06:00:39 pm by lewise99 »
Hi everyone,

I have recently started coming to the Rovers games* and got my season ticket for 24/25.

One question I am hoping someone can help me with - what music is used when the players come out, and what is played after Rover score?

I can't seem to remember/find either...

* First two games were the 5-1 defeat to Stockport and the 1-0 loss to Bradford in the trophy, so I can't be called a glory hunter for starting to attend now there has been a remarkable turn in form  :ermm:

Welcome to Rovers ‘99.
Hold on tight as it’s a rollercoaster, but you’ll never regret choosing Rovers as your team. Good decision!

Welcome to the Rovers. You will always need, good medical insurance, a spare pair of pants, a stomach fit for a roller coaster and a very thick skin.

Goal music!!

Should never happen.

The video from the camera behind the goal when Bailey scores and you can hear the raw emotion of the crowd for 2/3 seconds before it’s drowned out by that awful song that sounds like it would be more suited to a booze cruise in Magaluf

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

The song connects to the city because of the bloke who sang it. It's chorus also fits in traditionally with "Na na na, na na, na na na ROVERS" theme, which has been sung often in the past.

Have a word SM, please.

You know it makes sense!

I like Wild Rover, and I was one of the supporters who suggested it as our entrance song before it was introduced, but on reflection, Amarillo would be received with far more vocal response from home supporters.

Do we still actually have a song played after we score?
I can’t say I have noticed one.
