By the time we kick off next Satdi

Unless they are staying darn sarf for 3 nights, the Barrow squad will have done 1500 miles on the road.

That's equivalent to London to Sofia.

I would imagine that staying down there for three nights would be very expensive so it is more likely that they will be doing the 1500 miles.

We have a similar issue next week. Col U Tuesday then Gills Saturday. Joe we manage that week is critical. If/ when we travel will directly affect the chance we have of winning at Gills. Do we travel back on Tuesday night? Stay one and travel back Wednesday or do we stay down there and train remotely ready for the Gills game? These details make a huge difference.

Fingers crossed they all get bored and start giving each other dead legs every time they see a Yellow car.

I’m hoping that a win at Colchester means we don’t need anything from the Gills game.
If we are lucky with the way other results turn out that might just be the case.

Barrow are not actually based in Barrow. They train in Manchester.

Beat me to it, wilts. Definitely train in Manchester because of the logistics of the players and staff.

Use FC United of Manchester’s training facilities

That’s a hell of a training run.

I would think get them straight home after the game on Tuesday, have a lay in Weds, light session Weds PM then back to it Thursday properly?

Different managers do things differently. I know Moore made some strange decisions around game logistics.

I’d stay away all week I think. Costly but you get three full days recovery and prep as opposed to a very disrupted Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 7 hours less travelling.

Probably so they don’t have to sell the idea of living in Barrow to players.

As for us travelling, I would think, given a choice, the players would rather get home to their loved ones overnight. Day off Wednesday. Train Thursday. Travel Friday to a hotel down South and play Saturday. A few crates of ale on the coach back Satdi neet.

They might not benefit from being cooped up in hotels bored rather than going home in between matches.

this Sofia best be pretty special to justify a 1500 mile trip...

but if she's keeping the entire Barrow squad occupied for three nights, she must have something about her I suppose....
