Quote from: Barmby Rover on May 16, 2024, 11:15:14 amIf we get stuck with Lawlor or Jones as our only alternatives for the goalie next year kiss goodbye to any challenge for promotion, neither can control their area, their distribution is poor and the back 4 are constantly looking over their shoulders when they are there in case they need to try and save them. The whole defence starts with a reliable goalie, we don't have one on the books now. Saying Jones's distribution is poor is ridiculous. He is excellent at getting the ball out quickly and accurately.

Jones and Lawlor are up there with Etheridge and Woods for our worst permanent Keepers since 97/98

I would have subbed Jones on for the penalty shoot out v Crewe
Jones isn’t what we need from a no.1 but he’s miles ahead of that utter clown Mitchell.

JM was good in the air I’ll give him that. He’s actually just been released by Harrogate.I think people are being harsh on Jones though. He doesn’t drop the clangers that Mitchell used to. And he can actually kick a ball.
