Good game this. Oxford 2-0 up at half time, and deservedly so. Two good goals. Bolton booed off by their fans.

Did they call off the 2nd half?

There's a small crumb of comfort when the team who beat you in the Play Off semi final goes on to get promoted at Wembley .

When they beat you in the Play Off semi and then get dicked at Wembley as Bolton are right now it doesn't sit well .

Bolton have scored 121 goals this season in all competitions and haven't so much as had a shot on target as yet this afternoon .

That half-wit social media imbecile purports to be a Bolton fan. The idiot with the dad. Both very highly suspect characters. Hope they lose.

0-2 final score.

Doesn't sound like Bolton turned up. Not the first time.

And this is karma for their cheating during COVID

If you're talking about them cheating us, it was before COVID. I remember being annoyed because I'd got my match ticket and booked my seat on the coach.

It was the curtailed season when our form picked up no end with Jacob Ramsey, Fejiri and Kieran Sadlier punching big holes in defences. Games in hand with Bolton to play twice plus rock bottom Wigan our run-in looked very favourable with the play offs within reach.

Good post, Baz. Pedantic point of order though. We did actually play Bolton at home, and beat them 2-1, so it was just the away game that never got played.

Oxford played the more skilful football. Bolton’s tactics of rather unsophisticated all-out attack in the second half might have led to a worse defeat and did not seem very well judged and were well defended. Oxford reminded me of SOD’s Rovers in their neat and tidy ball control and as the form team they succeeded in producing the perfect finale.

Oxford demonstrated perfectly how to play against a possession-based team like Bolton.

I think like Crewe against us they had a slight advantage in that they had been beaten by Bolton previously.

The previous winning team doesn’t have the need to change their game plan whereas the other comes up with a perfect plan to beat it.
