Confirmed, heard there was a new player with us today, wasnt told who, looks like it was him.One I believe we had an eye on for a while, good type of signing for us in league two I think, the potential to be popular for us like Bailey.

This is a very strong signing. He is high, high quality. Terry must be a few quid lighter this evening given the other clubs sniffing around.

Suggested him in 2020 as the Coppinger replacement.

Clips (usual caveat) show he looks a good player.  Let's hope his heart issues are behind him.

Seems a decent signing looking at those clips, get the impression that this means Biggo is going.

Obviously it could all go sour and / or he gets injured, but this feels like the Wellens or Sharp signings when they had performed at a very high level and you knew they were a big name in the lower leagues and were going to be successful transfer. He is a big signing even if a midget in physical stature.

Wonder why he was released?

I assumed he didn’t renew so he could leave on a free to a higher league. Think club said he wasn’t offered deal but surely because he wasn’t going to sign and let them know that.

Iv seen a few people say this means Biggins is going, I don’t see why.

We need a squad and for all we know signings like this might make them sign up.

Also with the number of clubs interested in this kid, I doubt he’s been hanging on while we wait for Biggins decision.

He probably decided it's time to move on now,for another crack at league football after Solihul lost the play off final, and glad he/agent chose and we TB/Grant etc convinced him to sign for us.Well done Rovers management, good start to the team building.

With the improvements in our medical staff, I'm sure his heart must now be deemed to be in perfect condition.

Agree, don't think this has any bearing on Biggins signing or not,I reckon we would gladly keep him too,he may well leave, but reckon this was in pipeline for a while, just waiting to see Solihul position at the end of season, think possibly too early to know for sure if Bigo is going or not.

Agreed this is the improvement on Rowe (and I mean that with the greatest of respect and appreciation for Tommy)

As someone who knows absolutely nothing about him, can someone who does know a bit about him (and feels like there are quite a few here), why didn’t it work out at Burton? Played a bit in the Championship and League One at a young age but was then loaned out to Solihull and has spent the last 4 and a half years in the National League.

Grant says he feels Broadbent will have a “big season next year”.

TBF you're not gonna hear him come out and say "Broadbent is crap, not sure what I was thinking with that one, sorry lads."

If anything this feels like a Billy Waters upgrade than anyone else.

Bit of a departure from the norm with the club releasing that video showing some of his clips so we get an idea what he's about. Normally it's left to us to do that research.

I can see why he might be seen as an upgrade on Biggins, as this kid looks a little bit quicker of that mark and a bit quicker thinker. That doesn't mean I want Biggins out however you do wonder whether Biggins feels his time and opportunities with us might be limited  and could get a longer contract elsewhere.

Good to get some business done early.

I don't know alot about him,but sometimes a player takes a step or two down in the hope to get regular games, experience and comes back stronger and better for it.Copps was a teenager who though he had made it on his debut for Newcastle, still stepped down to National league with Exeter city before his fantastic career with us!

If anyone has any background about him,I too would like to learn about him.
