The major reason for our dreadful first half of the season is down to the goalkeeping department. Several managers in their post match interviews stated that they changed the way they played due to our inability to defend crosses into our box. I would say that was purely down to Jones and Lawlor refusing to come off their line so the opponents forwards knew they would not have a goalkeeper to worry about.

"Purely"? So the centre backs aren't expected to head the ball out, and the full backs aren't expected to cut out the crosses?
