Nobody outside of institutional care is going to be offering £1.5m for Joe Ironside, as great as he has been for us.
Good. Then he's staying

I think the 500-750k mark would be good business. Joe was terrific last season, but he is what 30/31?. As long as Grant would be able to bring in a replacement I don't see the problem. He is a very good league two striker, probably a decent/good league one. No club would pay over that for a striker of that age, very little re-sale value. Half a million is still a lot to us, and it would give Grant options moving forward.

I don't see him going though.

If (a big IF) he went, we wouldn't find out the figure....... it would be undisclosed as always.  So a bit pointless debating it really.

Keep Joe and along with Billy you should fly out of League two which would be far better financially than taking a short term bung from a sale, even if it was offered, which I don’t think it will. You came so close last year so hopefully the way Grants going and building the team you should hopefully go one better this time.

If McCann prefers the attacking prowess of a 4-3-3 then with a line-up of Sharp, Ironside and Miller we will trounce this league. Losing Ironside just reduces our promotion chances. Not going to consider it  ... (but then I never thought we would get Sharp or lose to Crewe in the playoffs with a 2-0 advantage) ... so what do I know.

If we lost Ironside and didn’t replace him we wouldn’t get promoted.

And finding another striker who can aerially challenge, link the play, score lots of goals and run non-stop would be very difficult.

This isn’t a mug’s league, as we’ve seen over the last 2 years.

Absolutely no chance of a front three Sharp, Ironside, Miller.

We'd get murdered in midfield, not trounce the league.

The club culture will be that the ultimate decision will lie with the player ( provided the asking price is met by the buyer ) .Fans support for the player always weighs on the decision as in the case of Molyneux .

The money Wrexham throw around any player that they want they’ll probably get. Paying Mullin a fortune aren’t they.

Sure I read somewhere that the ex Arsenal keeper they signed for free is on £21k a week!

I made this up Monday afternoon whilst tucking into my dinner, expected a few nibbles from both Wrexham and Rovers fans alike. What I didn't expect was 82K views, near 1600 engagements, a couple of articles from Wrexham and now a free press article...

Just goes to show how mad the football twitter world is!

Apparently they are back in for Alfie

Because they wasted money on an unfit and declining Jack Marriott.

Bookies have them to be up there in League 1 but I can’t see it with that squad and playing style.

Just cannot see Parkinson seeing out the season. Will be fascinating to see how quickly the entire circus falls apart if they get bogged down in lower mid table obscurity. Not much TV interest if they are finishing 16th.

I agree CBCB can’t see this being a series that runs and runs, be interesting to see how interested Deadpool is if Disney drops it
