On BETTER terms.’
Don't forget the last Labour government raided pension funds to the tune of £118 billion the last time they were in power, and they have their sights set on them again. Good old Mr Brown.

Good old Mr Brown.Good. I hope when Starmer gets in he gives it all to unemployed immigrants, with the proviso that they must spend it all on designer trainers and iPads.

Good old Mr Brown. What makes you think that this will happen Selby? Where have you seen that "they have their sights on them again"?
Let's not forget when it comes to voting, there are some horrible pensioners out the that could essentially be taking oxygen from younger people.
Its already been suggested by economic sources that have been widely quoted previously on here as reliable that they will be looking at reducing the tax benefits into contributing into a pension scheme. Mainly reducing the higher rate of 40% relief for higher tax payers down to 20%, reintroducing the lifetime limit and also reducing the tax free lump sum(currently 25%) downwards or stopping it completely. If they do go down this read there's a very good possibility that a great many already in workplace schemes will either reduce their contributions or even stop them completely, could you imagine if this happened, the disaster that would ensure in 10/15 or 20 years would make today's costs of benefits seem like child's pocket money.Completely bone headed and ideological dogma to do this, but then Labour do have form. When you look at all the "tax revenue streams" they have said they will not raise, these look fair game to tamper with.

Good old Mr Brown.Absolutely criminal that, how there haven't been prosecutions I don't know. Like I've said before, if you work hard and save for retirement then labour think that money is there's. Get ready for starmageddon, it's going to be horrific
Greece absolutely hammered pensions when they got into monetary trouble, the same will happen here whoever is in power. The next government whoever could be receiving a poisoned chalice as European money problems could stack up against them.

That's killed the thread eh ?I don't profess to be particularly bright bloke but up to now I do remember events quite wellThis is one case in point.Particularly as I lived through the changes as my post above shows AND it was only a couple of years ago I posted the link above Irrefutable and I have no reason to disagree with it , so like Golden Goal at Stoke which was actually factually a Promotion Goal I will always correct that Gordon Brown " started " the raids on FS Schemes
