This is now 2 crap summers on the trot, but at least we had a hot spring last year, in May and June. Even they've been awful this year.I've seen rainier summers in my time, but none as cold and dark as this. It's like a f*cking continuation of winter.Strangely enough, my poor old mate who lives in Lesbos, and only recently lost his wife, has the entirely opposite problem. The temperatures there are between 38 and 45 degrees every day throughout summer. He simply can't come out of the house until the evening, as it's just too hot.My problem is that I suffer from seasonal adjustment syndrome, and become depressed at the lack of blue sky and sunlight.I wish I'd have buggered off to Australia as a young man.
We went to Scotland on the day the heatwave hit Donny. It was around 13/14 degrees max over the 6 days we were up north, whilst it was around 23/24 degrees here in Donny. The day we came back to Donny the heatwave ceased!
