Make no mistake Yvette Cooper will be well on top of her brief, like she has been in all her other positions she has held.

Those grapes of your must be really sour!

Just to add and I'm far from a Labour party supporter but it will take something to shift them out of power for a good while .

Don't underestimate this lots thirst for power , they have and will do almost anything to win it and now retain it .

Don't be fooled by this lots smiles and we are the good guys , they aren't .

Speaking of Labours thirst for power Tyke, do you remember when, a week before the 2019 election, they promised free broadband for everyone in the country by nationalising BT? A policy that everyone knew was mad, insanely expensive, and borne out of…a thirst for power!!!

They all do it!

Im agreeing with you Tyke and it was ever thus. From Day 1 every Govt of every colour and every President of every Republic (Banana Republics esp) have the instant they have been elected ,  majored on the next Election and moved heaven and earth to try to ensure they remain in power

I would be surprised at all if Trump if re-elected tries to change the Constitution to allow Presidents of the USA to have  as many Terms as the voters allow

I believe Putin has managed that but too many BBs last night (Barnsley Bitters - Stancil version) have dulled my memory and Im being hounded to get off shopping

To tell the truth I wished that particular strain of the Labour Party had that thirst for power demonstrated by the current government .

I just think the free broadband policy was a desperate play rather than a genuine thirst for power .

Far better for people on the left to preach how much they care, wring their hands over inequality, tell everyone how important their principles are, and never actually, k'now...win an election.

Oh aye. And complain about people who DO win elections.

Never understood what exactly you want Tyke, apart from to slag off those who don't think just like you.

No that's your opinion and very often your opinions aren't facts .

See you don't get to judge why I voted the way I did , I do .

You are also aware of why I did vote Labour , because the contest was a bit too close for my liking and I didn't want a Reform MP , nothing more than that and something millions of others did just to kick the Tories out , if we hadn't Labour wouldn't have won .

What a thoroughly unpleasant man you are Sydney .

I understand your even worse in the flesh given what I've heard from some South Stand posters on here .

Still Australia's loss is the UK's gain .

Same here. Fortunately we can afford more Police, unlike if Reform had got in.

The ones who look after the squeezed middle.
Not the blairite shite that they are now.

Currently 2 cheeks of the same backside labour and tory.

The tory party have shifted so far left, it's pretty much indistinguishable from tony Blairs regime.
