Pickford's water bottle
« on July 07, 2024, 09:08:37 am by Copps is Magic »
Doing the rounds.... but did anyone see him pick it up and give the opposition keeper a side eye? Pretty sure he was scared it would get lobbed into the crowd ala TLT.

At least something good came from our playoff

Ha ha nice one!

I also loved the way the penalty takers looked so cool and confident.  They inspired confidence in a way that their predecessors never did.  Thats three of the last four shootouts won.  Have we got the monkey off our backs?

That is one seriously risky thing to do with a kick of such importance but if it's what he always does with his penalties it he obviously knows what he's doing.

You’d have to say now that Pickford is one of England all-time great goalkeepers.

People forget that he made two unbelievable penalty saves in the last Euros final.

When you think back to all the greats that you can remember, they all had the odd fumble, all goalies do.

Pickford stands out as one who has kept them very much to a minimum, the sign of a great keeper, he's never let us down.

He does always do it pies.
There are others that do it too.
Incredibly good to be able to do it.

I have always thought him to be at very good prospect, even said it when he was a youngster at Scunny.
He grew in stature at Peterbro and to me was always destined to be a top player.

Could'nt stop Ironside scoring against him!

Seriously, love his attitude and enthusiasm,my favourite goalie to watch since Warnocks go to keeper reitred,Paddy Kenny, just know there will be a high chance of some fun action, attittude when they playing.

Interesting interview with Pearce on talk sport yesterday. The two penalty analysts worked for him in the u21's and he said that they had a record of all penalties taken over the last twenty years in world international football, even the age groups.
Also say that the first and fourth penalties are the most important to winning a shoot out percentage wise so them two positions need  players in those positions with  a strong record of being successful

Regarding that first sentence, Drover, he couldn't stop Curtis Main scoring for us against him either.

Fantastic keeper though.
