Hope we are really focusing on fitness this pre season. I know they always say they are the fittest they’ve ever been but last season I thought we didn’t look fit enough early on. That was still after having most of the business done early.

Could be a case of confidence giving us extra legs but it was only really the last few months where we looked like outrunning the opposition till the last minute.

McCann has said multiple times since the end of the season that we weren’t fit enough last pre season/start of season.

He’s said today we are already ahead of where we were last year.

Listening to GM’s report, he is happy that all the numbers are up when comparing with the same stage, last season.

All the players were given a plan to follow before they got back to pre season training and were told to strictly follow it. I’m sure they are well in front compared to last season

They all look well, and certainly loosing lots of fluids, bodes well for the season ahead as long as we are not beset with the injury situation of last year ⚽⚽

Miller and Close not gone to Portugal as recovering from their injuries and following their individual programs

That's a shame as you would have thought the bonding element would be beneficial to them too even if they couldn't do the full sessions. Still, the experts know best.

Good vids coming out of Portugal. I know it's too soon to say, but anyone else think Yeboah plays similar to Jason Lokilo? Looks very exciting on the ball.

Yeboah looks really exciting, I've high hopes for him - hopefully can bring that Haks factor, a moment of brilliance and skill that can change a game. I'm really looking forward to seeing Gibson as well, I think he could be another game-changer. Roll on the friendlies!

I saw the picture of all the lads sat watching the England game last night, tops off chilling together. Probably only Maxwell who wasn't jumping around on the 90th minute!

I think Yeboah is our unknown quantity and someone who teams will just not know much about. They’ll get to know soon enough, I suppose, but a bit of a mystery to everyone atm.
