Morecambe FC

I notice Morecambe have not signed any new players in the window. They have a 3 point deduction for not paying players but more significantly they only have 5 players on their books. Not enough to start the season.
At some point is the EFL likely to remove them from league two and (maybe) Sutton could come back up?

I hope not, they've earned their right to be in Lg2 on the pitch, plus Sutton were horrible league 2 sloggers. Sad to see any team on the brink, always think of their hardcore fans who'll be suffering.

Believe they're in the process of being taken over. Still looks like it'll be a struggle for them this season though.

Will they be the new Bolton only playing youth players and not playing midweek games

A shame for any club and their fans when this happens, but the clock is ticking to next season and they need a lot of work to even be ready for the first game.  I don't know if the EFL can/will step in at some point.

So playing them early doors might be good timing before they regroup?

I assume those 15 players have all been in pre-season training, but even so, it’s going to be a bit of a task blending them into a competitive squad.

Look how we struggled at the start of last season!

To be fair to Morecambe, they had exactly the same situation last summer and they were above us in the table for 2/3 of the season.

They will be a backs to the wall team from the off.
And they will be a nightmare to play against I bet.

They will have a siege mentality if they gel together and they have a good manager for this level
