10 Steps for Labour in first 100 days
« on July 13, 2024, 10:56:22 pm by Bristol Red Rover »
Aims for Labour from the Greens:

1 Settle a pay deal with the Junior Doctors that properly values their work
2 Remove the two-child benefit cap
3 Bring criminal charges against Southern Water, Northumbrian Water, South West Water, United Utilities, Thames Water, Wessex Water Anglian Water, Severn Trent and Yorkshire Water for persistent discharge of sewage into our rivers and seas.
4 Make solar panels compulsory on all new suitable homes and reverse the de-facto ban on onshore wind.
5 Produce a plan for local rail links that could be reopened
6 Call an emergency dentistry summit
7 Restore the right to strike to public-sector workers
8 Recognise the state of Palestine and end arms sales to all countries where there’s a serious risk of them being used in breach of international law
9 Introduce a natural history GCSE
10 End no fault evictions and strengthen renters rights, including new powers to local authorities to control rents

Some exvellent achievable steps to show Labour are serious about change in there. Will Labour do any?

They are away to a good start in the first seven days,  all the oil and gas industry in Scotland now under threat of leaving these shores, 360 men laid off in North Yorkshire as Anglo American reduce the work force at the new mine, and of course the closing down of the coal mine in the North West putting any contractors already employed unemployed, this means smelting coke will have to be imported if we are at all wanting to produce pig iron and specialist steels, and Dyson reducing their workforce.
The next six months unemployment figures could be very interesting the next six months as things unravel.

As I've said before the Labour Party will do anything that keeps them in power which isn't necessarily the same thing has what's good for the country .

Keeping themselves in power is the only show in town and what has to go under the bus in order to keep power will be just that .

If they don't need your vote you probably aren't going to like them .

But they do set a lot of local policies. Slightly different scale but ever road in our village is now 20mph limited, totally unnecessary.

BST being a junkie for low class propaganda. With his Zionist, war mongering, establishment puppet in power, let's see what changes are made in 100 days.

Nice of the Greens to pontificate in defeat, by the way have they sacked their deputy leader for his 2 faced approach to Solar Power?

''Whatever will the Tory rags be thinking now ?

As far as I can see he's got to the very top of the Labour Party without making a single enemy .

Crown and public prosecutions top man and knighted for his services .

Working class kid whose rose to the top through study and hard work .

The classic pull yourself up by your bootstraps that the Tories are so fond of telling the electorate .

Well here he is .

The significant factor for me is that the Tory attack dog rags are going to have to play the ball on policy and not the man .

Little point in the heartlands pointing at the knighthood when they vote for a silver spoon fecker with Eton and Oxford on his cv and become lick spittles for the likes of Mogg and his hedge fund shenanigans .

I've never been under the illusion that the left could win on that ticket since Michael Foot was routed in 1983 despite my left wing stance , a New Labour relaunch will not work either .

Somewhere between the two and a very credible man leading is just about for me personally a compromise I'm more than willing to accept .

So much so I'll rejoin the party and do my bit .

Congratulations to Keir .

Game on now Johnson and deep down I suspect you know that.''

it's a common reaction reaction get on here especially when I put a compelling argument forward. I don't deny I know everything but it is a bit authoritarian on here at times. Not sure why.
