A while ago someone on here suggested an idea to build on the success of our last home game - which we'll all remember was absolutely packed and had an atmosphere we've not seen in a long while.
The suggestion was creating a family fun day, market it massively, have food stalls outside, funfair etc. Get loads of things going on. The key though is promote the hell out of it.
Do we know if the club are going to do anything like this for the first game?

Whilst I see where you're coming from, every home game can be a Family Fun day. All folk have to do is come and bring the kids, there's lots of things for the kids in the family stand already, even before the mighty reds take to the field.
There's food outlets outside, the fan park will be in operation weather permitting so I don't see the need to spend additional money on a fair etc.
I think we all hope to see a build up promoting the start of the season wetting the appetite for more of what we saw last season.
