Think the thread title needs changing as it’s become the equivalent of the commentators curse

Wood confirmed as having fractured ankle and needs plate inserting. Out for at least two months.

That sounds like more than 2 months at his age after a “calf niggle” kept him out for longer

We have Wood out at the moment for 2-3 months and Maxwell around the same. Close is due back within two weeks.

Westbrooke, Nixon and Senior didn’t make the squad yesterday but assume those were tactical.

Faulkner effectively out until January due to his loan terms.

We need a CB. Anderson isn't reliable to stay fit from now until Wood is back

McCann saying we are not getting in any defensive cover. We play with what we have.

Right call in my opinion. Just how big do we want this squad to be? We have 4 senior centre backs, another one out on loan but back in November/December, and Bailey, Senior, Flint could all play there in an emergency. We’ve already got a massive squad, you can’t just keep adding players whenever someone picks up an injury.

The one on loan isn’t eligible to play for us until January by which time Wood will already be back, so Faulkner isn’t part of the equation.

I’m not sure there is anything to panic over. At this level, no side that plays two centre backs is going to have more than five senior and dedicated centre backs in the squad. One of ours is on loan and that now leaves three fit players. Given only one max is going to be on the bench, this remains the case. Only the personnel have shifted. We still have two fit starting centre backs and one on the bench.

If the club look it up I think that in certain circumstances the rule changes during the 2019  Covid season Faulkner could play as he was a regular in the u18s side.

Is it worth us changing the title of this thread to 'The Treatment Room' and pining it?  Would keep all injury talk to one thread?

Your wish is granted. Good idea to keep tabs on injuries and recoveries.

Not sure about pinning though?

Well, you wouldn't wanna be in that treatment room for long as someone comes along and takes your peg in the dressing room!!

Westbrooke injured and won’t be in the squad for MK ‘Dons’. Nixon and Wood a month away yet.

Nixon was back on the grass then injured his other calf. Good job we signed Emmanuel.

Saturday may come too early for them, we’ll have to see - from GM’s presser.

If Maxwell is soon to be back why did we get Fleming on a full season loan?

I feel like Jack Senior has been hard done by here.

Fleming has offered little going forwards and was poor defensively today as well.

Think for Grimsby we will have Maxwell, Clifton, Anderson, Westbrooke and Molyneux all back in contention.

Does Anderson just get a one match ban for the straight red card today.

A straight red is three games isn’t it?
