He was a real 100%-er, but 69 is no age.

An absolute legend in his time here. No quarter asked or given. 100% all the time when he was here and scared of nothing or no man. R.I.P. Alan.

A great player, hard as nails. Had thighs like tree trunks. Wouldn’t have liked to be on the receiving end of one of his tackles.
So sad, gone too young.
RIP Alan (animal)

RIP Alan aka Animal.
He once said of his midfield pairing with Ian Snodin “not many got past us”.

That's very sad.

I remember him very well - opposition players tended to keep their distance.

RIP Animal

That’s so sad. One of my all time Rovers favourites. I still remember the drop ball when he just took out the other player. RIP

RIP Animal, a proper footballer, hard as nails. I have loads of memories of him including scoring a 25 yard free kick 27th of December 1980 vs Tranmere, it was early in the second half, towards the town end.
 A proper Mester

Very sad news indeed , a real hero of mine too , hard as nails but he could play too .

There isn't anybody in the game in the modern era who could have sorted Alan out , absolutely nobody .

RIP Alan , it was a pleasure .

A proper old school footballer from a bygone era.
Well it was because his tackling would get a yellow card if he played in the modern era. Did I say yellow, well yellow and the next one would be red.
Great memories and that drop ball on a Friday night game v Huddersfield when he went through ball and man is my lasting memory of the one only Alan Little.
R.I.P

A true legend. Even the Grim Reaper would have shit himself if he'd come up against Animal in his prime.

RIP.

Don't be too rough if you're having a kickabout up there, Alan.

I just wish he'd have played against Joey Barton. He'd have kicked the little tw*t into the middle of next week.
