And a good result, with excellent goals, carry on like this and they will fill the place. I,ll never get a pint and pie at half time at this rate. :scarf:

Absolutely and a great buzz about the place from before kick off. We'll miss the next home game on holiday but if we keep winning crowds should be great.  We've got momentum again.

It says 6.423 on the BBC website. I must say I thought there was at least 7.500
The South stand was almost full.

If it was 7.423 then that’s good. Thought the fans were great. Fortress Eco Power Stadium this season.
Love it if we were unbeaten at home this season. It’s possible if maybe improbable. We only lost 2 in 2003/04

Thought it was absolutely p!ss poor. The ambition the club are showing deserves more. They were ok turning up against Crewe and everybody arguing for tickets to now…. I think people in this City need to put up or shut up personally. The prices are affordable and we should be doing better than 7k.

The 7423 with 211 away came from DROS match day feed, BBC (and presumably all others who rely on Press Association) had 6423

Another will be on holiday. Keep winning and scoring goals come September we will be about 8 k home fans min. Let's not forget even in our first season in the championship after taking 20 k to Wembley  we only got 9 to 10 k home fans. Unfortunately there ate to many football match attending fans of other teams in Doncaster. I'd love to know how many go to Leeds and the Sheffield clubs on match days from Doncaster. It will take getting to the prem or challenging at the top of the championship to fill the home end every week.

Ist game in peak holiday time. Not sure what you expect.
7.500 was what I hoped for as Accrington have a small away following.
If we keep winning then we will see the gates increasing. I expect us to average over 8.000 this season hopefully 8.500
We have to remember we are in League 2

East stand looked well populated today, south wasn’t far off full, 7,500 all day long.
Which is a good Div 4 attendance.
Fans will have watched on Sky+
Fans will have watched on Rovers+ (4 in my family, in Sydney, Newquay and Denia Spain)
So tot all that up and there’s lots watching, we are in 2024 now and there’s many ways to follow your team and support them.

My gut feeling there was around 7k plus, even with the North stand empty, so was surprised to see only 6423 on BBC but I think most of us will say that was a very healthy turnout looking around the stands. We can build on that and if things keep going well, 10k plus before Christmas is possible.

Peak holidays shouldn’t really matter for the size of the City IMO. The stadium is less than half full. That’s proper poor.

I might have to go on the wind up with Walsall, they were obsessed with our attendances last season.
Be interesting what their excuse is today.

I agree and have said it for years the support based on Population of Doncaster MBC is poor.
The fact is we lost 1000’s of fans in the 60’s when Rovers went from 2nd Div in the late 50’s to 4th Div in early 60’s. Support went to Leeds, & the Sheffield clubs in their droves who were in the 1st Div.
subsequent generations have stayed supporting the team their Grandparents and parents support.
Yes we should get 10.000 gates even in the 4th tier.
Wrexham which is much smaller got 11.000 last season but they don’t have other big clubs in their catchment like we do.

I thought it was decent. Need to stop going on about how big the City is. It's big but the vast majority of it support Leeds Wednesdays Man Utd and Liverpool

The bashing TB has had over recent years and the things that have happened within the club recent we should be at 9000 homers. Size of the city and we can’t get that is ridiculous.

Forget the size of the City there is and always has been too much attraction from the "big" teams. We are 4th tier anything around 6 -7000 is good for our level

Definitly felt like more than the 6423 that i have seen pit out there. But suppose the poor away turnout brings the final tally down.

Thought the atmosphere todaybwas actually very good.

It was really the West stand that let the side down today and the fact there wasn’t a sole in the north stand. Accrington fans must have come in a minibus!

One gripe from today, unfortunately, was the numbers standing in the isles in the SS. You can’t expect to come in at 2.50pm and sit in the singing section. The stewards didn’t want to know about sorting it, but the Club need to nip this in the bud, especially if we start on a bit of a run. The SS is going to get very congested just before kick off! It’s not safe and it’s not fair on folk who do get there in good time and find they’re stood up most of the game.
