Had very little to do. We are yet to see him really tested.

I saw enough Saturday to ease my concerns. Whilst still have some reservations on his reaction time when stretching for saves, all the other departments he looked quite composed and was prepared to come out to gather and play sweeper at times being good with his feet and distribution.

I thought he looked pretty commanding in his box coming (and claiming) crosses and corners - but as said by others, no massive saves to make as yet.

He’s very young. The minutes and the clean sheet will do lots for his confidence. No young goalkeeper has it all their own way so we’ll have to be prepared for that over the season, but his handling when catching a high ball looks good.

That's the big plus so far for me. He comes out and takes the pressure off defenders with high balls in the box. Very assured at taking a ball high over the heads of everyone else. That's been lacking in the past. I really like him. His best days are yet to come too.

I have just watched the game on Rovers+ He covered his ground well, the defence is confident to use him as an extra pass back when needed and he produced a really good throw out to set an attack going. I reckon he will do a good job.

Didn't he make the save from the cross shot that went for a corner 1st half?
Other than that not a lot to do apart from one backpass that was a bit underhit which he charged out to and leathered it up the pitch, I think the Salford player put the brakes on a bit when he saw him coming

He was commanding last night ,taking high crosses cleanly and was very fast out to the edge of his box to clear the ball from their break away attacker .Fears allayed here for me about his self confidence and physique .

Far more mobile than either Lawlor or Jones. Being decisive and proactive as he is, minimises the worry which less confident keepers cause by preferring to stay on their line or hovering indecisively. Potentially dangerous situations are killed off before they develop.

Said give him a chance. Some wrote him off after a few pre season games.

It takes a little while for a young player to settle in and find his feet & in TSL’s case his hands.  Well both actually. Keepers need to be good with both these days don’t they.

I think the big poser for me is how the defence are reacting around the keeper, is he giving them confidence to pay freely or is he scaring the s*it out of them all.

Even though they posed little threat last night and i could never see them scoring if we were still playing. I thought they all looked calm with everything in control, no dramas.

If the keeper can have a defence in front of him that are of that mindset then his job is half done. For the rest he looked safe and secure under the high ball and his distribution from both hand and foot looked controlled and composed.

He's growing into the role nicely.

It's always nice when a hopeful punt floats into toward  keeper and you can start to look away as you know it's going to be caught and distributed, we've not always had that but think we have here

That's a very good question to pose. I think Saturdays game showed both Wood and Anderson seemed to be comfortable with him behind.

Last night, with Olowu and McGrath, we could be forgiven for thinking things could get a bit jittery, but by enlarge they seemed to cope reasonably well.

It provides confidence whoever plays in front of him can concentrate on what's in front of them rather than worry about what's behind.

Yes agree, noticed at the Accrington game he had some good ‘long punt’ distribution and comfortable sprinting to cut out the forward passes. He was happy to roll out short too but not all the time so kept the opponents guessing as to whether it’s a shorty or a punt- ideal and not predictable.
Also long may it continue he has little to do.
