I watched Brandon Fleming play for Derry City my local team Shamrock Rovers yesterday. He played well although Rovers won comfortably enough in the end.

Surprised he ended up there. They are an oddity though as they play in the Irish top flight even though Derry City is in Northern Ireland. Think they are the only side that does over there.

YAT will know better than me that “Derry” has close cultural links with the Republic. Borders are political rather than cultural, so that seems the obvious explanation.

Derry City will have a new manager in the next few weeks, if they don’t win every match.

Seny Dieng fails medical at Feyenoord
He's just signed on emergency loan for Sheffield Wednesday. First game the steel city derby, where they could be relegated. Not ideal circumstances to make a debut.

14-1 sounds like it could be a score prediction.

Scunny have endured a torrid run. Andy Butler's men have lost 4 of their last 5, conceding 16 goals along the way.

Louis Jones is yet to make his Iron debut but Branden Horton, Andrew Boyce, Alfie Beestin, Zain Westbrook & Kyle Hurst all played in the latest defeat to leaders York on Tuesday.

Think scunny would benefit from appointing a functioning manager. That Butler is not.

He recently got a red card playing for Osset. Apparently he can play for a club lower down the pyramid whilst suspended. He's a Knaresborough lad so jumped at the chance.
