Judging on just 2nd half 1

Crap Pen decision. Crap letting their player do the stop before putting it in

Crap that they kicked us all over Burslem but no Yellows till Yeboahs indiscretion

Crap

That 8 minutes extra at the end of the game got me thinking.
With all the things a referee has to handle during a game is it really possible for him to also keep a mental note of how much time to add at the end of each half.
Substitutions, injuries, time wasting, adding a bit on for elongated goal celebrations, even time taken for VAR decisions all have to be included in time added on.
It just isn’t  possible for a ref to get an accurate assessment of how much time to add on.
Unless we adopt the sixty minute ball in play method that Wolfie has long advocated (and no less than Marco Van Basten agrees with by the way Wolfie) then surely the tally of added time should be calculated by the fourth official.
I’m talking about elite level football here as obviously as we go down the ladder there are no fourth officials to help out.

I thought that the fourth official already has that duty hound?
The ref then decides whether or not even more time than indicated should be played to cover injury delays, time wasting  and goals and celebrations.
