After accepting an invite once clicked, it took me to an app to install. I didn't install it. Looks like gaming of some sort but happily corrected.

Discord is app that is widely used for gaming, and for like minded people to join groups associated with different things.

Discord is perfectly legit however if I am honest without sounding ageist it’s more for the young-uns!

Discord is a chat application used for gaming worldwide. it is a legit service and I have used it for nearly a decade.

The link is completely legitimate.

Many teams from the Premier League to Non-League have servers.

It is legit, I've been using discord for years and this is the standard format for the invite links.
