I don’t rate him at all.

Neither did Swindon Town fans!

From their forum:
“It was his first 'big' gig and yet he was extremely defensive and came across to me arrogant rather than appealing to fans to give him a chance blah blah.

“Rubbed the Fan Base up the wrong way from the start IMO....and when we dished up one dominating defeat after another the writing was on the wall.”

Be an interesting one, as I’ve rarely seen a side completely take apart opponents in a playoff (Crawley v MK Dons last season). Immense performance.

Like the Bournemouth/SOD moment, when he mastermined them drubbing  us 5-0 or 5-1 and from that moment JR headhunted him, even signed Jimmy O'Connor in anticipation.

It was 5-0. Hayter got two and Eddie Howe scored, among the others.

The Bournemouth side that day had future Rovers in John Spicer, Brian Stock and James Hayter.

Games was 25 September 2004, almost exactly two years to the day that SOD joined us.

I got married that day and was getting the scores filtered through to me during speeches and dinner

Was there, 5 hours on the coach to see us 4-0 after 20 mins :/

Massively overachieved with Crawley, no?

Hes a Kitson. I recall him after we beat them (Crawley) at their place 2-0, he said in press conference, "if we are serious about promotion we need to be beating the likes of Doncaster"

Don’t like him but to get Crawley promoted was some achievement

MKD play a completely different way to how Crawley did last season. It’ll be interesting to see how he can change their deep rooted style!
