More info from their forum re the red card:

“Passed the ball directly to their winger for the goal then went screaming his head off at the ref about a non existent foul which got him booked. As he's got about three brain cells he didn't see this as an opportunity to shut up and continued gobbing off and the ref rightly gave him a second booking in the space of about ten seconds. One of the stupidest things I've ever seen on a football pitch and he's let his entire team down.”

This is frustrating, Grimsby are looking the better team in this half, and we have just stepped off the gas. I understand we may just be taking our time and trying to take it steady but Grimsby should have scored one already, dangerous game to play.

Great performance from him (and I thought he looked very good in his cameo on Tuesday) but the feedback from fans of his former clubs has always been about his ability to do it consistently. I wouldn’t say that today answers any question marks anyone may have over him - he always has this in his locker.
