Never seen the opposition give us so many gifts. Very sloppy game, our passing needs to be much better, but will gladly take the 3 points. Billy needs his scoring boots back.

The BBC reporter at Swindon said on Final Score that the first half was abysmal.

It wasn’t a great spectacle at all, but we ground it out.
We were sloppy and they were clearly struggling with form, and looked there for the taking. We seemed to do a lot of good stuff then ruin it, we also looked a tad slow all over the pitch.

We’ve lost or drawn plenty of these in the past few years, so I’m more than happy to tak3 the gift they gave us.

Swindon are abysmal. I thought we were going to throw away the game today against probably one of the worst sides we've played. Job done in the end.

Let’s just enjoy the fact that we won the game.

I don't think Swindon were that bad at all. Better than their league position suggests. Just my opinion.

Very young team it looked
We made hard work of it and when we start being ruthless we will win by 3/4 goals in a lot of games.

Nixon will be back in contention this week. That just leaves Wood out. Full squad, second in league, huge game next Saturday and a less exciting on midweek. What a time to be supporting Rovers.

Swindon were rank and their manager is on borrowed time. He’s useless. We were poor, they gave us loads of opportunities to capitalise on their mistakes at the back and we didn’t.

Agree we’re not taking these chances, second half against Crewe a fine example. With Ironsides and Billy up front I think all of us would have put money on one of them scoring in open play. Thankfully the cool head of Ironside did the trick.

I wonder who would have took it if Billy was still on the pitch?

By God, it's not taken long for Billy to lose his hero status with some on here.

But other than that
And a fire in your flat
How was your day?

We won away.
I’m happy with that .

Thought Swindon defended well throwing themselves into blocks around the 18 yard area

Why is it? It's like watching Bruno Fernandez at Man Utd. Always seems aimed at the other players from what I can see.

Some players are just moaners all the time.
It’s what fires them up and their team mates generally know and understand it.
Billy (and Fernandez) will still have the respect of the other players.
They have, and demand, high standards of themselves and others.

Iv noticed it too, and there’s nothing wrong with pointing it out. I hope it doesn’t become a problem.

He desperately needs a goal IMO, I reckon it’s coming on Tuesday.

Good win away from home but we need to convert more chances we create overall we have the equal lowest goal difference in the top 7. Yes we have conceded goals. But taking of chances needs to improve.

Well, it's pleasing when we don't score free flowing goals, we can chip in with set piece goals.

We were saying recently, we have to get better at scoring the ugly goals to become a better all round team, and we're now starting to see it.

Also looking comfortable with the change in formation and every player understanding their roles whether starting or not. I think the way the players celebrate the goals shows there's a collective spirit emerging. All good signs.

Rovers got a get out of jail free card at Swindon, they didn't produce a goal from open play despite dominating for 90% of the game, and relied on a stupid handball to get all 3 points, The goal from the corner was the 11th attempt at a corner, having not produced a decent attempt to score from the previous 10. Second in the league yes, but reasons to be far from complacent. Set piece coaching is definitely an area for improvement, and a quicker movement towards goal when in possession is needed. The great thing about Rovers is that we all know GM and Cliff will be on the ball tomorrow and Monday and things will improve yet again against Bromley

I have only seen the short highlights but can say that I saw two good attempts on goal from them as a result of good corners, one blocked by a defender from Olowus’ shot on the turn and the other when Gibsons shot produced a good save by the keeper.
Who knows as well whether one of our players might have headed home when their defender handled the ball and conceded the penalty.

Some might say we got out of jail free with the win at Swindon but we have to give the team the plaudits to keep going right to the death, good teams always do this and mostly find a way, we are now starting to emulate that.

It was one of those matches where we created plenty of chances to score and on another day would have buried a few of those chances. The fact we kept at it when not at our best tells me the side are all singing from the same sheet and have a will and desire to battle it out.

As for Billy Sharp he's going through a spell like all strikers do, its not running for him currently but i'd say GM will be well pleased that he's still creating and getting chances, on another day those chances go in.

Remember we are still a work in progress, when you think how players like McGrath and Olowu have stepped up, 'im even giving Broadbent credit here as i thought he had a solid game, his tendency is to always turn to safety and sometimes it kills promising moves stone dead but im thinking that's the way the management want him to be, safety first can bore the pants of you but it overall means you win more than you loose.

Work in progress and sitting easy in 2nd position in the league, i'd take that every time.

When we really start firing on all cylinders some teams had better watch out!
