Very happy with the win, but it’s disturbing that we still are not seeing teams off. GM needs to get his sleeves rolled up.

Ohhhhhh Alan - came down to individual split second decisions today. Play someone in rather than try yourself. Not really Grant’s fault…

Great interview with McCann. He takes the blame for their goal due to tweaking the defence. Big praise from him for TSL and Hurst.

Probably our most consistent game as far as the standard of play we maintained in the game apart from the last quarter of an hour when we came under pressure after they changed multiple subs.
Up to then we were playing through their lines easily with great runs off the ball making it easy for defenders to have an out ball.

We were a bit lucky with the first goal, as the bloke sat next to me said, if the keeper stands still he catches that.
Great win & fully deserved.

Brilliant today, Bradford could have had no complaints had we been 3 or 4 up before they scored, we had them on the rack at 0-2 for 5 or 10 minutes. Well done to the team, management & supporters, a real statement win today.

Also great that Billy got a goal.
He should kick on now and get a few more.

And if McGrath puts the free header he had in the top corner it's 3-0. Funny old game.

I was gutted for Jay, that would have been the icing on the cake.

I bloody enjoyed that today. The performance of the season.

We were better than them all over the pitch, and should have won by a lot more.

Exact blue print how to beat Bradford. Sit in, be patient and smash them on the counter.

Really enjoyed that today, GM always manages to get a response from his players and today was a perfect example of that. We set up very positively started the game at a good tempo and had all the momentum, it was great to see the lads stick at it when all the good work to create many good chances was not completed with a finish to match, we all knew if we stuck to it, it would come and it did. The performance was there and we managed to turn it to our advantage with the quick burst of the goals. It killed them stone dead and they only really looked threatening in the last 10 mins with the aid of the headed goal from the freak that is Cook.

Massive praise to Hurst today, he's had a tough time with minimal game time to get him going but today's performance highlighted just why we think he's a top player when he gets it right. With more game time and the confidence from today he could kick on massively.

GM knows he has a good side and he's starting to whittle down the correct set ups for this group, when we really get it right we could well go on a very good run again.

Sorry Alan but that is rubbish.

Bradford hadn’t lost at home until today. We outplayed them, especially in the second half. We played like the home team and took the game to them all the way through.
Of course they had their 10 minutes but we thoroughly deserved that win.

Disturbing that we’re not seeing teams off?!
Come on Alan.

Same against Notts County? Highest possession team in the league.

I certainly did Neil. Credit to City fans for being honest and gracious in defeat. The bonus was being home for tea earlier than if we had been at the Keepmoat.Nice to catch up with Dearne Valley Rover three. Before and after the game as well.

I’m grateful to you for putting me onto the Corn Dolly Dave. What a cracking pub.
Sorry I didn’t get to spend time with you today but I got deep into a conversation with a City fan and couldn’t drag myself away!
They are a really good bunch in there.

I saw you were struggling to get seated when you arrived at the stadium but hope you got sorted.
I’m guessing somebody took your seats?
Anyway, what a great day to be a Donny fan in Bradford mate. I smiled like a Cheshire Cat surrounded by City fans on the bus all the way back to Keighley!

We got sorted Neil. The stewards were really good. Family got seated about four rows back. They moved one of our flags back a bit so I was sat two rows back. Although not disabled I can’t bend my knee far due to a full knee replacement in 2004. They understood this and acted accordingly.
Full marks to them but there was more than me there struggling.
I will be sending a letter to City.
Another good day though and bragging rights for now.

It’s funny, isn’t it, the manager said (more or less) the same thing in his interview, so he must also be talking rubbish, then?
Come on lad, lighten up, there’s nobody more delighted than me with the result and reported performance, but I agree with Grant. He said we’ve made something like 70 chances over the last 4 games so there’s something there to work on. I prefer the manager’s thinking, if that’s allright with you.

Lighten up Alan, that was a s**t synopsis of the game.

Shame on you if you don’t give credit on today’s performance against a side that has not lost at home this season & had won their last five in all competitions.

I just find it amazing that you can use the term “disturbing” after a performance and result like that today.

Usher wide,

Quote

.

Did you not read that bit?

I can’t comment on the game when I wasn’t there! It’s not my synopsis, it’s more or less what Grant was saying in part of his interview.

I’m delighted with the win and the highlights are not much use to anyone to make any meaningful analysis of. Don’t let’s start  reading way too much between the lines. All I’ve got to go on is the bits and pieces on here, X and the BBC.

Moving on.

If you weren’t at the game or able to watch it live your comments can be read as nothing but negative.

I've never cared for Bradford. They're just a nothing club to me. Not a rival, barely a derby match. With how long they've been stuck in league two we've barely played them in the last 15 years until our relegation.

But the way some of their fans have tried to force a rivalry, and the nonsense they've been spouting online for the last year or so. I was buzzing to get one over on them today and destroy their unbeaten home record.

Now I can go back to not caring about them!

Each to their McCammon. I’ve lived in Bradford since 1978 and have known and met many City fans who are now friends. My late son also went to school with and worked with many City fans.
We have always had their respect for supporting our home town club through their Conference years.
They are a decent Yorkshire club and worthy rivals for me.
You might not care but obviously don’t know the club and its supporters as well as me and my family. They have also achieved three things that we haven’t, winning the FA cup, beaten finalists in the League cup and playing in the Premier League.
Worthy rivals I would say.

There  were a few singing it as we got in the ground but that was all, probably helped that he didn't play.
