The referee’s performance in the first half was quite appalling.  He almost cost us a goal in the first minute by failing to give a blatant free kick to us for an obvious block and then a foul on the goalkeeper.   It continued in the same vein throughout the half with errors of judgement too numerous to mention and culminating late in the half with both he and the linesman failing to see Hurst being completely taken out by their defender.

He was significantly better in the second half, so I have increased his score from 0 to 1 …. and I never give a score as low as this.

I do go low and I'm glad you spotted the first error

He was going to blow then he seemed to bottle it and give us advantage and nearly cost us a goal

I WILL give him  NIL though  simply for allowing their Number 10 to stay on

Has the plank NOT heard of totting up procedure ?

Complete and utter numpty and Grant McCann depends on idiots ( utter idiots) like that in a results driven business

0 from me. He was very weak and should have clamped down on their play early doors.
Nobody can explain how their number 10 was able to stay on the pitch. Their goalkeeper took the mickey from early doors and deserved a yellow for his antics with the ball when we equalised apart from all of his time wasting.

Very, very weak.  The Salford team, especially the keeper, took the p1ss from minute 1 and he did nothing.

It's refs like today's that are starting to put me off going to games. You only have to look to the professionalism of refereeing in other sports to see how poor the officials, like today's abject performers, in football - at all levels - are!  Referees too weak to manage a game fairly within the rules and line runners, (you really couldn't call them assistant referees), who can't make a decision without looking to the ref for what to do.  These people are ruining the game of football.

And he even managed the new one they are all using. In second half Ball Boy rolled him the ball and on 1500 quid or whatever he gets , he MISSED the ball.

The CB missed a roll from the Keeper as well for 2nd week in a row

Martin Woods still gets p*** taken on here for missing Penalty at Newcastle

This Martin Woods also missed APPLYING a penalty as Number 10 was allowed 40 minutes of cheating by fouling after he got a Yellow Card

Zero zero zero epitomised the current standard of refereeing. Dont think he even spoke to the keeper about time wasting and he started in the second minute

Towards the end of the game, the keeper was taking one of his 30 second goal kicks and the ref had his back to it for 20 of them.

Exactly this. Seemed to completely miss the time wasting by simply turning his back to the ball. Almost like he was glad of the rest. I'm not with most about their 10, wasn't much in any of it. Lund definitely deserved an early yellow and whoever it was that completely wiped out Hurst. Bailey booking a thing of beauty. Nice to see that we refuse to be bullied now.

In last game at home Notts C ... 3 minutes were added to 90 minutes

With 2 minutes already gone their bloke got wrestling with Teddy SL who was trying to take a free kick quickly

It was handbags stuff but the Clown of a Ref walked back to where they were wagged his finger at him

He jogged into Notts Half , signalled for TSL to take the kick and blew the whistle as the ball was dropping into their half

Result ? 2 minutes Added Time played

Fixed Clock NOW
